Exposing one's identity. When?
by kairos ini've been toying with the idea of just coming out and posting my name and location as an attempt to be available to locals that secretly browse the forum that have known me for up to 25 years.
( "reaching out", so to speak ).
i'm not da'd or df'd, so this most certainly could end in a dramatic confrontation.

Way to go, I almost dA'd but then changed my mind . At times I think if I had gone ahead and done it would have been easier to talk with my kids. It's hard to say may have lost my whole family too. This cult is evil and it's hard to know how to react at times. But the more that come out and become vocal the more the cult dies. -

they need to know how the crap he is talking about is a mere diversion from from the societies complicity.

" Jehovah's Witnesses " were NOT Jonadabs!!??!?

15) in speaking of the marking work, page 111 of vindication said that this work of giving the testimony is not for the purpose of converting the people of the world and bringing them into some organization, but it is to make known the fact that those who desire to flee from the wicked organization of christendom may do so and declare themselves on the lords side, and thus be in line to be brought through the time of trouble, when the slaughtering begins.

I was pissed when I found out by reading the vindication books and others that Rutherford viewed these other classes as lesser Christians or not Christians at all. The Bible says their is no distinction by god and no favouritism. It also says not to judge. So I became very mad when I found out this guy and those that followed him took away Christianity from me and others. Arrogant pricks! At that point I new all Christians or believers were in fact part of the body of Christ and annointed in him. I partook of the emblems later that year. -

Was this the garden of Eden/Noah's flood?
by little_Socrates inhttp://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/12/101208151609.htm.
jeffrey rose, an archaeologist and researcher with the university of birmingham in the u.k., says that the area in and around this "persian gulf oasis" may have been host to humans for over 100,000 years before it was swallowed up by the indian ocean around 8,000 years ago.
rose's hypothesis introduces a "new and substantial cast of characters" to the human history of the near east, and suggests that humans may have established permanent settlements in the region thousands of years before current migration models suppose.. .

Yes calibinflorida, they started a book based on their religion but their religion was as much based off of other cultures around them just like the book that they wrote was based off of stories and myths from again cultures around them. The Jew's borrowed most of their religion and beliefs from the nation's around them. Then again the Christians and Muslim's have done the same. -

"imitate jesus" convention series australia schedule .
interestingly the first round of regional conventions are due this weekend in the jw assembly halls in sydney (new south wales), melbourne (victoria), and brisbane (queensland).

Combination of both I think, bad press and not wanting the rank and file to be exposed and also money. When one goes to a circuit assembly there's an announcement as to what the expenses are for day , I have never heard them announce at a District assembly the costs. The thing is I think people are not donating , so at least at the circuit they can more easily push ones to donate. This is why the DCs are going to become like circuit assemblies. -

Half Banana, one needs to remember the original flood stories from that area were not of a global flood, it's was later that the stories changed to be a global flood. Let's also remember that 10-15 thousand years ago the last ice age was ending so a lot of ice was melting surely causing a lot of flooding. These events could have also made for flood stories around the world. -

I failed to mention in my first post that in southern Mesopotamia, archeologists' have found evidence of a major flood that took place several thousands of years ago. This river flooding was normal in this area but this flood was thought to be caused by more water run off then usual. Some believe the original flood story may have been a retelling by the people that survived this local flood.
