I would of also said cows blood 'hemopure'. If they ever show up that's what I'm going to do as well. Nothing pissed me off more when I found out that Jesus said ' we desire mercy not sacrifice' and in Mark 'nothing eaten by a man can defile him' Of course we can't argue or ask a question that goes against their doctrine so turning it around like you did is the best way. Bunch of murders!!!

The conventions and the memorial are a pain in the butt for me.
by John Aquila ini can imagine those of you who have a spouse that is not awake and how hard it must be.
i have a 90 year old mom who is a jw and still puts in 12 hrs a month in field service.
the brothers and sisters are always picking her up for conventions, meetings and memorials and as much as i try to avoid them, there are times when i just cant.

Had to go to a JW funeral yesterday.

Many times they talk about the dead and what a great witnesses they were and they then may give a brief witness. This time the speaker goes back and explains all the basics about Adam and Eve the original sin God sending his son the Paradise earth etc etc. I was kinda floored he would go back to such basics. At the end they all sang song 134 I believe, designed to emotionally to push their doctrine of a resurrection and a paradise.
It's such a weird experience to once have been one of of these really ignorant people and now be looking in through the window so to speak knowing how really stupid and deceived these people are. Yet at the same time most are so arogant that all you want to do is get the heck away from them as fast as possible. Sad really sad.

by LaurenM ineven though i'm no longer mentally a jw (i still technically am) i do recognize that there are some benefits to being raised one.
for example, the first (and only so far) wordly guy i was involved with had to smoke weed every day and got drunk all the time and that was his idea of fun.
i couldn't help but feel bad for him.

Canadian branch getting rid of their trucks and drivers
by wannaexit ina recent letter to the elders outlined the new arrangement for delivering literature to the congregations.
the canadian branch will be downsizing by eliminating drivers and trucks and utilizing commercial carriers to bring the boxes of monthly literature .
more outsourcing and more lay offs.. the funny thing about it is that they want to have the literature delivered to various private homes of the rank and file rather than have the literature delivered to the kingdom hall.

I think the whole thing is to liquidate assets. Sell off everything tell the R&F is about to get bad and put the cash in other corporations and offshore. In the mean time each GB member gets a nice new 20K watch of their choice. -

Good point they did not die from eating for the fruit, the sky God just forbid them from eating from the tree of life. So in all reality Satan did not lie. In the original story the sky God is Enlil and his wise giving of knowledge half brother the adversary was Enki. Enki was one of two Sumarian gods depicted by a serpent. -

4 versions of Jesus resurrection- all different
by purrpurr ini've been reading more and studying about the bible .
it was brought to my notice that out of the four different versions of jesus resurrection they do not back each other up.
instead they contradict each other a lot.

There's so many Bible contradictions and mistakes it's not even funny. How about the fact that there was two leaders of the Jewish temple so it says but history show one died before the other and never has there been two high priests at the same time. And in the story of the reserection in one book Mary and some woman are told to tell the apostles to meet Jesus in Jerusalem in another account tell them to meet him in gallee and in another they run off scared and don't tell anyone. Also look at who finds Jesus gone, in each account it's different people. -

There is a lot of evidence that the Cannanites switched from El to worshiping baal Hadad and he was a warrior God weather God and fertility God. There is writings in the Bible that discribe him to a tee as being some of the attributes of yehweh. He also takes on the same wife asherah. I believe yehweh is both gods a may have even assimilated the attributes of Asherah.
