I almost gave up today except for a girl her tried to throw herself infront of two cars.............
by umbertoecho inthis may sound insane but i literally have blood on my hands as i have just come home from a counselling session that went wrong...i wanted to collate all that has happened and record it...hospital policy is against it.
i said "what am i alive for then if not to tell the truth" she tut tutted and i walked out sadly in despair.. when i got to the ground floor there was a young girl screaming her head off.
she was afraid, that is all she was...........afraid.

God zoo it's true I was not studying with kids before I woke up. I was like most JW's just going to meetings and service a couple times a month. When I started to become spiritual is when the wheels fell off the machine. Then I learned and studied the Bible finding out that most of it is taken from other sources and the Jews took most their religious beliefs from the nation's around them. I have not studied the Bible with my kids as of yet because I don't believe it to be from God anymore. -

Im still married and still living with my wife. She takes the kids to the meetings and I have not tried to ever stop as of yet. Also when I was wake is about the time the MS started studying with my two oldest boys. I have a daughter that's the oldest and is the only one baptised also have more kids even younger then the two boys the MS is studying with.
So anyway I don't see any up side on my part at trying to stop my kids from going to meetings and stopping this study. I think this will result in my wife taking the kids anyway and the study commencing behind my back. I will be labeled an apostate for sure most likely dfd and probably separated from my wife and kids. So please tell me where I'm wrong and if I proceed with this idea how to do it with out it all going bad for me. Or how to just try to stop the study alone and how the end result is pretty much the same. Thanks again.

What Convinced you to Leave?
by LaurenM ini've been posting here a lot, but these last few weeks have been very difficult for me.
anyways, lately, i've been thinking about confessing everything i've done to the elders and going back, but deep down, i don't really think it's the truth...so my question is, what convinced you it wasn't the truth and that leaving wasn't a horrible decision that everyone in the truth makes it out to be?

I was pissed when I found out they took Christ away from me but was maybe thinking if staying as one of the anointed but the final nail in the coffin I couldn't let go of is all the people they murdered because of their blood doctrine. Their pure evil. -

EXACTLY Why JW's Are NOT Christian
by Perry ina lot of people, ex-jws, believers and unbelievers alike, think that jw's are just a somewhat kooky brand of christianity.
is it possible to "try and follow jesus" and not be christian?
what exactly makes someone a christian?

They also just give Jesus lip service. There is evidence that the original leaders were Masons and Masons from what I understand don't believe or didn't believe in Christ, knowing this character was a construct from older religious beliefs. Even Thomas Jefferson Published a bible leaving out everything to do with Jesus. So I believe deep down these guys could care less about Jesus and this is why it always about Jehovah and Jehovah all the time. -

by Crazyguy inyesterday some jw's came over to my house and were even being nice to me, most of the time if they do come by an elder or ms may say something but the others will not, its even hard for them to say just hello (how pathetic).
( they also do this behind my back as if i don't know).
i now realize by not being their i've handed my kids right over to them!.

Yesterday some JW's came over to my house and were even being nice to me, most of the time if they do come by an elder or MS may say something but the others will not, its even hard for them to say just hello (how pathetic). One of them is the MS that studies with my two oldest boys. ( they also do this behind my back as if I don't know). I now realize by not being their I've handed my kids right over to them!
They the JW's I think are being a little nicer to me maybe because they see me now as one that is just inactive. Or maybe its because I recently went to a JW funeral and a comment was made to my wife by a elder that "I took one baby little step at coming back because of this". Any way I don't really know what's going on but while here I thought I heard my youngest 5 year old boy refer to the MS as DAD. I know the MS has referred to my boys as his and this has been discussed on another thread that I started.
But holy hell people, these whack jobs are not only trying to steal the minds and lives of our kids away but their trying to take the kids mentally away from their own blood relative's! This crap has got to stop and I'm a bit pissed that here on this forum, their is what seems to be very little support when it comes to helping ones wake up and educate their children. I have on more then one occasion started threads on how to help free kids from this evil cult with little response. Most of the posts have been about just showing your kids love and a good time away from the cult. Well this is WAR people, these bastards are trying to steal our kids away literally. We as ex witnesses that have experienced this evil, need to be more aggressive about helping one another getting out and stay out of this Evil. We need to be a little less bitchy expressing our opinions when were responding to someone's posts and keep in mind that we should be here for personal therapeutic help as well as offering help to others.
This Cult has become blatantly and obviously just that in resent years they don't even seem to mind people knowing its one now. Anyway we need to offer up more help and ideas to ones here on ways to help get people out and share experiences on ones that have been successful and what they did and said that worked. Its not about being nice to our loved ones in hopes that they see that all is not bad in the world and we are not bad people, its way more then that.
I'm not sure what to do anymore, do I go back and play nice with these idiots all the while trying to plant seeds with my kids? This would seem to be self defeating and give the impression that I now agree with the cult and I'm sure my kids maybe reinforced in a negative way. Do I share TTaTT with my kids showing them that yes by doing this I truly am an apostate? Or do I go for the jugular like I have been doing a bit with my oldest boy and sharing with him that the bible is crap? I'm not sure what to do anymore and have made so many mistakes in the past.
My youngest son asked me after the funeral about if I believed I would see the dead person again or weather he was going to be resurrected. He has also asked me questions before about things and I can't just blow him off or give him some little canned answer this kid is to intelligent for that and by not saying much like people have suggested here, I'm just creating a bigger divide between the minds of my kids and myself.
I can also tell you that the mind bending is really effective with the young ones. I have shared things with my 14 year old son things like proof of evolution, example the tooth that was gown by the chicken when scientist's turned on the DNA and yet a few weeks later some thing was mentioned about Darwin by me and he went back to the JW response that this Darwin and his theory was just to peel away Christian's from God.
Anyway I'm about to go postal and aggressively start teaching my kids that the bible is crap and showing them all the mistakes miss-teachings and all the evil that's in the book but I'm not sure if this is the right move. Attacking the fundamental basics of god and all that they have been taught about the idea of a god and his son etc. maybe to much and It may back fire and I may loose them altogether. But not doing anything which is what I have mostly done except with one child is just giving the cult more unabated access to my children's brains and I have to do something but I'm not sure anymore?

Why would Jesus have to ask God in the Lord's Prayer, to not lead us into Temptation, but deliver us from evil..?
by Tater-T in..... and then willingly be lead into temptation .
he knows that's how a good god operates, so the first thing he does when installed as heavenly ruler... .
he casts the ultimate tempter to the vicinity of the earth... so he can do it as much as possible.... has anyone ever noticed this flaw in the almighty ... he has to be told to do what is good , then doesn't do it ... man what a tool.. i guess he really does love us... lol.

Satan is an idea from the religion of Zorastrism (spelled it wrong) and yes mankind would be way better off with out this God if the Bible. Less death less hate more love. -

The Watchtower says: The Septuagint became God's Word
by opusdei1972 inthe last edition of the watchtower (study edition) says the following:.
alexander the great later conquered much of the ancient world, and common, or koine, greek became an international language.
so, in this verse the septuagint was not god's word according to matthew.

If the Bible is truly inspired then who had the right to take out the apocryphal books and the two other chapters of Daniel etc. -

What did early Christians believe about the dead?
by fulltimestudent inas witnesses we were truly convinced that we knew the truth about the dead.
they were truly dead, and we often quoted ecclesiastes 9:4-6, our favourite proof text on that topic, to prove the point.
that text reads (just in case you've already forgotten it - smile), (from the niv):.

Opus, yes and this belief was taken from the Egyptian belief and was originally theirs and not a Hebrew belief. The Christians copied so much from Egypt. -

Caleb the Jewish member of this forum made a statement on another thread that stuck with me. Something to the effect that the Jewish thought was to be someone who could be remembered at death and get a fine burial. Where as the other option was not being a person of note and just dieing and having ones body just being thrown in to gehenna not remembered by anyone at all.
