  What's with all the pyramids??

  the number of pyramids in the world just keep going up and up.

  an egyptoligist thinks using satellite scanning technology he has found the remnants of another 17 pyramids in the egypt.

  in central and south american they keep finding more pyramids and in java a couple of years ago they surmised that the riuns their was actually a step pyramid possible the oldest in the world.

  One would think the easiest explanation is that one of the earliest cultures maybe Egypt or Sumer started buildings pyramids and other cultures followed suit maybe to show they could do it better. But still why, why go to so much effort?

  So what do you think all of these pyramids were all about? And why do you think that almost every major culture in the world back then was biulding pyramids?

  Advance Directives and the JW Patient

  advance directives are complex legal instruments and widely misunderstood by both physicians and their patients.

  with most jehovah's witnesses their is a significant level of misinformation, and in many cases coercion or undue influence exerted on the patient.

  physicians need to be aware of this and always meet privately with the patient to educate them and then ascertain their true wishes.

  ok, i didnt think anything about it.

  but last night some friends from across the city called me up and said that the co was visiting their hall and in his talk he said that the society is getting geared up for a massive kingdom hall and assembly hall construction project worldwide next year.

  they told the publishers; "get ready".

  I spoke to my wife a week ago or so about the bethel layoffs and the biulding stoppage. She had been told about the bethel layoff, the spin that they need more pioneers but nothing about the special pioneer stoppage or the building stoppage. It's all about the spin.

  The reality is in order for the money to keep coming in they need to tell the members their building, but of course we know that they are not building their pocketing the money.

  heartbroken and not sure what to do...

  i don't know what to do.... i married last year and things have been very rocky.

  we dated for 4 years and did have normal issues but always had a lingering doubt something was just not right in our relationship-behavior to be more specific, he is not a jw, but i am.

  yes i know i married outside the "lord" but after my first marriage to a jw ended in divorce for physical abuse, i was glad i didn't married another jw.

  You need to be the aggressor when it comes to your needs in the bedroom, make it fun and no pressure on him. If he still can't or isn't interested then it's time to move on. Now that you know ttatt you can have a real relationship and Premarital sex to see if your compatible.

  The end of the age or the end times what did the Bible writers mean?

  there are plenty of scriptures pointing to the idea that the end was near according to the scriptures way back then.

  example at act chapter 2 peter states were in the last days, at 1john chapter 2 in the last hour.

  jesus stated he would be back before some of that generation died and of course the famous quote 'this generation'.

  There are plenty of scriptures pointing to the idea that the end was near according to the scriptures way back then. Example at Act chapter 2 Peter states were in the last days, at 1john chapter 2 in the last hour. Jesus stated he would be back before some of that generation died and of course the famous quote 'this generation'. At the end of the book of Revelations 5 times in the last chapter the writer says he will be back soon. Paul is said to say the same that his contemparies were in the end times.

  So what we're these people writing about? It's been proven that these writing were written most likely after or at least during the second century and many of them are not even talking about the return of a Christ but an end of the age, so again what are they refuring to?

  Some believe it's all about the Zodiac and it's great year spaning 2150 years. Example the Taurus bull and representations of bull gods then Aries represented by the Ram then Picees the fish which some say Jesus was a representation of. In Luke I can't remember what chapter but Jesus tells his followers to look for a man that looks like the water bearer that of Aquarius. Speculation as to when the great year changes over is all over the place from 125ad 300ad all the way up to 2500ad.

  So is the end of the age the change of the Zodiac or were they refuring to some things else, your thoughts?.
