  they brag about the fact that they the don' t baptize their babies because "how can a baby 'know' what religion it wants to believe in the rest of it's life!".

  but a 14 year old does?.....they put so much presure on their children to get dunked, that if your not baptize by 18 years old there is something really "wrong" with you.. so the poor kid does it, just to get everyone off their backs.

  legally a minor can't be held to a contract if they are under 18 years old and why?

  I was 20 nobody pushed me but then again if you want to date or marry in the religion you have to be baptised so I took the plunge. Funny thing is I was never spiritual never motivated in that way. I think I was an atheist in waiting.

  Christians Know Who God Is

  many of us christians have a good question for you to ask, “who is god?” there are more than six scriptures to share with you.

  you know the bible itself a true message for all the people on earth.

  the bible explains ‘in the beginning god created everything: heaven, earth, animals, people and everything.’ thus, you notice god created humans, adam and eve.

  Jesus is an combination of many God in the area at the time . He has atributes of baal, osiris, Marduk, horus, Salem, Ra etc. I believe he was invented and made to be like all the gods to apeal to the masses. Also if one reads the bible you'll find that Jesus teaching controdict many of the says of his so called Hebrew father Yah. Some say this is do to one of the early christian leader's Marcion who did not like the Hebrew God. His death by sacrifice is not a new idea nor was his resurrection. The idea of a trinity is also not new to Christianity nor teachings that Jesus is just like his father. Study the book of the dead and you'll find huge similarities between chritanity and this ancient Egyptian religion. Baptism , circumcision, spirit, resurrection to heaven or paradise on earth, having ones heart judge, all from ancient Egypt.

  My 14-year-old niece is being disfellowshipped

  i was contacted by my ex sister-in-law yesterday.

  she asked me if i wanted to spend some time with my niece, while she went to her sister's baby shower.

  it turns out my niece can't go because she's about to be disfellowshipped at the ripe old age of 14. .

  reminds me of that artichle mentioned her on this forum that was fondled by an elder eventually couldn't take not being believed by her mom and told her she didn't want to go to meetings anymore. So the elders dfd her and her mom threw her away giving her up to the state. Its really sick how religion can have so much control over people.

  Question about the new blood card

  ok......i really need to know the answer to the following question and scenario.

  supposing a child at age 14 decides to get baptized.

  the child is then given the new blood card which has now tightened things up with respect to lawyers etc.

  14 year old boy was allowed by the state of Washington to refuse blood. One can not expect a judge to have any common sense.

  The Watchtower are Right About Blood...

  ... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.

  it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.

  they take pride in obedience.

  The whole doctrine of not eating blood or sacrificed meat to idols can be summed up in one scripture. Mark 7: 17-18 Jesus said nothing entering in to a man can defile him only what comes out can , thereby declaring all meat clean.

  Nothing entering in to man can defile him, nothing! Jesus never says anything about eating blood because it's covered in this scripture. Who cares about the book of Acts. Ask a jw who his master is Jesus or the supposed writer of Acts, Luke? The writtings of Paul do not contradict what Jesus supposedly said and he Paul claims visions from Jesus. Luke never met Jesus or had any visions from Jesus. Remember Mark chapter 7 verses 17 and 18 the verses that kill the jw blood doctrine !

  "It's the demons..."

  one thing that really frustrates me inside is how quite a few jw's (especially my family) actually believe that demons like to inhabit second hand vases, or clothes etc.

  my sister and mother are so bad with this that they wont even talk about it - because even talking about it "brings demons into your home".

  so any attempt to show them that it's unscriptural is shut off with, sometimes them literally going "lalalalalalala im not listening".. i used to believe it myself (why wouldn't i?, i was told by my mother and father it was fact).. what i'd like to point out to anyone that would let me debunk it is this:.

  Demons are not even mentioned much in the old testament and the devil was just an adversary not really evil. It was in the new testament that these characters got going most likely do to the influence of the Persian religion.

  Help messy problem

  the problem is i have a baptized witness going out on service door to door giveing comments at kh who for the last 4 years has had sex with at least 10 prostitutes and regularly takes drugs ie speed the cong has no idea he's doing this he says he will never go to elders for fear his family will shun him if df so he continues i know because he tells me everything should i tell the elders or not.

  when asked: “why there is so much of suffering here if god exists?” buddha responded with silence because he knew the following:.

  1) even though living in heaven, anyone can live as though he lives in hell and vice versa which means how a person thinks is the key.

  experience show that whatever a person does with 100% involvement (totality = beauty), it is like he lives in heaven.

  i've left a couple of semi-"humorous" remarks, but not yet said a proper hello....but firstly thank you, to all, for this site and all its comments.i have been lurking on this site for 4-5 years, awake for 5-6 years and seriously fading for the last 4 years.

  i am now "out" and widely considered "out" by the congregation but due being very cautious and playing a very long game, (and having a wife who understand the repercussions of blowing the whistle on the few viewpoints i have discussed with her) i have not been df'd of da'd.

  this forum has been a crutch and guide as well as helping me wake - and the humour many on here use has been a welcome relief.
