Since leaving WTTS have you joined a new church or just continue with the new beliefs you have discovered under no religion?

I was on my way to being what I thought was a true Christian even went to a couple of church sevices but as I was studying I ran across a documents metioning a cannannite god named EL and the city of Ugarit discovered in 1929. Well now I'm an agnostic but also with what I have experienced in my life with a child that's going through some of the worst pain ever recorded with her condition I have to say if there is a god because he or she is doing nothing about the pain and peoples suffereing. He she whatever it is can go strait to Hell! I have more love in my left pinky nail then this diety has in all its being!

that represents a $10.00 per publisher charge for the privilege of using the assembly hall.

Going Back To Meeting Tomorrow

i'm returning to jehovah tomorrow night.

but yeah i'm going to the meeting to put in my token visit as part of my fade.

even if you don't believe in god pray that i can keep my mouth shut for a couple of hours because it's going to be awfully hard to do so.. before i woke i was quite involved, commented a ton, personable.

I was with a family member at the hospital the other day and two elders a couple of woman and an MS was there. Thier stupid small talk was annoying but Then they started going on and about the broadcast etc. Thier so deluded and thier whole lives are just about the Borg and nothing else just so sad .

Proof God Does NOT Exist

I think a better statement or question would be if gods exsists why would he allow chaos like what we see in the universe. Black holes swallowing up every thing that gets near them. Galaxy's colliding with other galaxy's. Stars blowing up etc.

Under WT rules, can JW women file for a divorce? Or can only men file?

the reason i ask is because while watching the "dateline" episode about ralph candelario, the claim was made that only jw men could file for divorce, not women.

i had never thought about this before.. also, how does this apply in cases where a husband is "apostate" while the wife is faithful to wt?

It's what ever the elders want. A friend's wife left him saying he wasn't a spiritual enough leader. During their serperation he started having a friendship with a woman at work. He never touched her in any sexual way but his elders still dfd him saying he wasn't being a proper christian. His wife went off and got remarried no problem.

Are Witnesses really "Bible Students"?

we were always told that as witnesses we were "sincere bible students".... carefully examining the scriptures.. yes, we were indeed taught much about the content of the bible, it's history, prophecies etc..... but it was always from one perspective....that of the society.

when the society changed its interpretations, we had to do the same..... so were we really "bible students", or "society students"?.

just a thought.....

Nope when my wife was scared of me because of my waking up she diligently studied the WT and watched all the broadcasts etc but never did I ever see her read her bible.

Evolution: The Deal Breaker

first off i do believe there are some evidences of evolution or i should probably say adaptation.

i do believe this exists in various forms.. however the deal breaker for me with evolution is the chick or egg problem.

there are tons of theories that get passed around as proof of evolution however these are usually examples much further down the evolutionary chain.. what i mean is let's start at the beginning!

I think it's possible that something could of created life but the overwhelming evidence is that if true all life today on earth evolved from that simple creation.

Dear Jehova's Witnesses I have a question about your views in evolution.

i have been wondering why your organization cannot accept evolution?

(when i say "cannot accept" i mean: you see it as anti christian) the reason i'm so curious about this is because by putting this here i hope to get smarter answers than i usually get, and also because you don't seem to put things like quantum theory, string theory, under the "evil scary scientific stuff label", also many religions have accepted evolution as most likely possible, or as something that is ok to believe since god could have used evolution to create mankind, in fact evolution isn't a "religion" and automatically doesn't get you labeled as an atheist, unless you are talking to the wrong person.

i am by no means trying to make you believe in evolution, i will respect you views, i believe every man has free will, well it kind of says it in the bible.
