  Newspaper article on Conventions—why so glowing?

  every year in dozens of cities where conventions are being held, newspapers typically write an article about the event.

  there are exceptions, but usually it is like the articles above.

  i would love to see more newspaper articles that did some actual objective reporting, rather than puff pieces.

  Who's to say these little puff pieces aren't paid advertising by the borg? I did such thing in a business I had years ago little so-called interview on the radio it all sounded great and like an actual interview and what not but it was just a paid advertisement.

  but it happened yesterday with one of the nicest brothers i remember.. he came into my place of work not knowing i worked there.

  my company is now on his delivery route.

  I wish David Jay was right but in reality the Borg just knows that people are not joining in mass anymore so their changing to video because all they have to do is continue to keep their current followers and thier children. The children are always the next group that keeps the cult going. The only real clue that he's right is thier pulling the plug on third world countries and not printing a Spanish bible. In the end thier an American cult and they will cater to where the money is coming from.

  Died Due To Refusing Blood Transfusion

  well, last monday my mother, a jehovah's witness since her baptism in 1968 died last week because she would not accept a blood transfusion.

  she was 76 and had lung and skin cancer.

  i know that the cancer would have gotten her anyway, but she was bleeding internally, and was told that she needs a blood transfusion, as her blood count went all the way down to 3.2 (should be 12-14.

  There was a big typhoon that hit the phillipines a couple of years ago and to protect themselves the jws gathered in three Kingdom Halls. The typhoon past over all three Kingdom Halls and because of the Angels all three Kingdom Halls and the people were not even touched not a shingle blowed off the roofs not a hair on a head out of place.

  And if you believe this you too can live forever in a paradise all you have to do is give me all your money!

  people seem to be donating less. The older ones are having to figure out how to survive now in this system and many of the younger ones either are not motivated to donate or most likely just broke. It a lot more expensive to get by now and with so many of the younger crowd 50 and under being uneducated and poor they have no money to give. I know of ones that are selling off things to get by and to simplify thier lives as they try to progress to eldership.
