Yeah I remember after I went back after being publicly reproved, the looks I got and these people didn't even know what was going on or what I was reproved for . Bunch of spineless judgmental pricks . Like what was said above, one good friend is worth more then 8 million people like these.

Tried One Last Time In The Kingdom Hall...
by pale.emperor inso last thursday was meeting day.
my wife knows my thoughts on this religion and respects my fade and is completely ok with it (which surprised me, and also made me love her even more).
i think she must know it's all crack-pot stuff but seeing as her whole family are all in and about 98% of them cant even explain their beleifs without a watchtower on hand i think she's just going along for the friends/family/social side of it.

People since the time of ancient Egypt and Sumerian didn't want to except death of a person as a final end so they came up with the idea of a after life. Egyptians came up with the idea of heaven and a paradise called the field of reeds. The Greeks copied this idea and called it Elysium. So did the Menoens. The Jews were not all in to it but when Christianity took hold they the followers of Christianity jumped all over the idea .

My son is not sure about what he has been taught about the common ancestor
by KateWild inthis week my son expressed he is agnostic as he is not sure what to believe about evolution and the common ancestor.. i thought any jw hang ups were gone.
i told him that what they teach in school is trustworthy and he can be rest assured that there is evidence to support that the common ancestor was the real link to the evolution of humans.. he has got critical thinking skills.
and responded with "for hundreds of years schools have been teaching things and have changed their thoughts".

Just go show him human chromosome number two. Theres and obvious mutation since chromosome two is two chromosomes fused into one . Thier are what's called talameres on each end of a chromosome , kinda like tails . Chromosome two shows two tales fused together near the middle of the chromosome . Proof of a mutation and evolution in the human species.

Good news to Judgement message?
by punkofnice ini noticed in the 'bunker video(tm)' from the latest a$$emb£y/con-vention whatever it's called, that the patronising bloke with the greasy hair, said that the great tribulation(tm) started after their message changed from good news to judgement (i think he did, anyway).. does the watchtower corporation really think that anyone listens to their propaganda?.
do they really think they are able to stand behind a trolley and give a message of judgement?.
how do they think the message will change?.

What's funny also is in all the years I went door knocking no one who ever heard of a JW even knew what our message was. They knew we didn't celebrate holidays or we didn't take blood or thought we didn't believe in Jesus but nothing of the JW message of thier good news.

Inactive ones are shunned anyway. I haven't gone to a meeting in two years and no one from my hall has anything to do with me and will only say hello if they happen to see me out in public. I'm sure the most here experience the same treatment.

Introduction - Any Believers?
by Believer ini’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

I can still see why people belive, there are things we can't explain and products we can not duplicate. Take blood for example man still can't duplicate the ability of the red blood. The reason so many become atheists is because once we awaken from the JW world we become very critical and with all the problems we find in the bible and proof of evolution just to name a couple of examples, it becomes obvious that there's a big problem with our idea of God. I also can't rap my head around this idea that a loving God would let mankind go through the suffering we have.
I believe there maybe a god but that this God just planted life here and maybe made things like the laws of the universe but he does care about us. That's where I'm at with my belief system anyway but it may change again in a week.
