Josephus wrote about a Jesus that was on the wall of Jerusalem calling down evil on the residents and then was hit by a rock and died. The other quote about a Christ Jesus most experts say it was a forgery.

"holding the anointed elders in his right hand"
by oppostate in(ks10 p11:1) revelation 1:20 depicts jesus as holding the anointed elders in his right hand, thus, by extension, indicating that he controls all bodies of elders for the purpose of accomplishing jehovah’s will.
(re pp.
in the shepherding book it says "holding the anointed elders in his right hand".

Yep it's all for them except when they need us as slaves then by extension we are supposed to do it too. In the last meeting I had with the elders it became clear to me that when they can't defend thier teachings or the bible clearly says something else they use the , it only applies to the anointed excuse. The whole religion is a joke!!!

Should I just tell my parents
by BlackWolf inlately i've been feeling just so fed up with this stupid religion i really can't take it anymore!
i'm starting to think that maybe i should just tell my parents how i really feel.
if they treat me too badly or kick me out i could probably stay with my non jw aunt.. ive just reached my breaking point, i don't really care what people think of me anymore.

Ok if you have to be a really good JW until 18 then start leaving print outs of scriptures where Jesus says something about being loving not judgemental do not exalt etc. start giving answers at meeting again all about Jesus and how loving he was etc . Make the sick with the loving Jesus .

Do whatever you can to stay where your at and get all your ducks in a row. Just make a game out of it while your stuck. Play along to get along. Then when you have your affairs in order and can not only take care of yourself but thrive, move out. Don't cut ties with your parents. Remember thier victims too. Most kids go off and make a life and do very little JW stuff. Your parents will hope you become more regular or return to jah organization and may actually treat you better hoping they can win you back.

What is harder? Making a new jw or bringing one out?
by EndofMysteries ini find it interesting how stories of people waking or bringing one out are like the opposite of jw experiences bringing one in.
maybe we should start an ex jw yearbook for experiences of those coming out haha.

I was able to bring one out when I left. A friend that was going through marriage problems his wife was sleeping around. Anyway he stop going to meeting , not to in to it when your hearts broken. Well one of his elders accused him of doing something wrong. That along with me poking holes in the bible got him to start waking up. It really does seem to take an emotional issue to get JWs to start to wake up.
I think our yearbook would be bigger then thiers since I think more are leaving then joining.

Do you still believe in the concept of absolute truth?
by JW_Rogue injws very much believe that there is an absolute truth and of course, they are the only ones who have it lol.
how about now though do you still believe that absolute truths exist?
or is everything subjective?

How can anyone have absolute truth? Take the Christian belief, most don't realize the bible and its books were not written when they think . Theres mistakes all over the bible , it's been written and rewitten countless times. Many of the stories and writings were taken from other sources and other non Christian belief systems. Even the gods are from pagan sources. So there's no way one can find absolute truth in Christianity!

In that same year (1888) a man named E.A. Wallis Budge was in Egypt stealing or buying and smuggling as much ancient Egyptian artifacts out of Egypt as he could , sending them to London. One such item was the writings of a guy named Amenope. It took Budge another 20 years to sit down and translate this writing. When he and his colleagues were done they realized they had what turned out to be the writings of the book of Proverbs. Upon further research these writings were thought to be older then the king who was given credit for writing them, King Solomon by at least 100 years.
Once again it looks as though the writers of the bible just plagiarized another set of writings from thier neighbors and called it thier own. I'm wondering what percentage of the bible was truly written with an original idea or thought by the Jews?
On a side note we read in Jeremiah scriptures that indicate Jerusalem would be devastated 70 years. What's interesting is there was a cures put on Babylon by an Assyrian King Ashurbenapal after he destroyed the city and deported the people stating it would not be rebuilt and would lay desolate for 70 years. Did the writers of Jeremiah and Isaiah just steal this idea too?

My False Accusation Story

i was ms back then and she was a regular pioneer.
after we broke up, little more than few months later she dated a guy from the navy and she got pregnant.

Typical , elders seem to fall for the person telling the story and believing it. It's always seem to be a big deal to then get to the bottom of the real story and the elders are dragging everybody through the mud to do so except the person that originally told the lie.

"how awful it must be to be dying as an apostate!"
by purrpurr ini heard today about a former jw/now apostate who is dying in hospital.
this information was accompanied by the comment of "wouldn't be awful to be lying there in hospital, dying as an apostate!
knowing that you have no hope!?

Better to live a full life knowing that when it's over it over then wasting your life away in a hope and a dream that's not reality and will never happen!

Tried One Last Time In The Kingdom Hall...
by pale.emperor inso last thursday was meeting day.
my wife knows my thoughts on this religion and respects my fade and is completely ok with it (which surprised me, and also made me love her even more).
i think she must know it's all crack-pot stuff but seeing as her whole family are all in and about 98% of them cant even explain their beleifs without a watchtower on hand i think she's just going along for the friends/family/social side of it.

Yeah I remember after I went back after being publicly reproved, the looks I got and these people didn't even know what was going on or what I was reproved for . Bunch of spineless judgmental pricks . Like what was said above, one good friend is worth more then 8 million people like these.
