This truly is a cult in decline, 25% reduction in Kingdom Halls in the US and Canada even more it would seam in other countries. Their desperation is showing too. Constantly trying to get people to believe that god has and organization and their it and that the GB are gods chosen group, from what I hear that's all they pretty much talk about anymore.

Theyll be pushing the fear tactics more and more too. The good news is recruiting is pretty much dead so their relying on the children now but even if 50% of those stay the cult will be just a shadow of its former self and as they get smaller they become less significant to even those still in.

today i read some news story's about the property deals of jw.org in brooklyn.

they made good money and good connections.. but i'm sure jw.org made a very, very big mistake in brooklyn.

they did.. they sold and are selling all the property for money.

The lawsuit where the judge froze one of their properties had to be a major factor. Cash flow issues probably another factor as well.

I met a 104 year old man today

i was at a mall trying on shoes and this old man is in a wheelchair near me.

says how he thought those shoes were sharp and he had never worn brown shoes before and that he is 104 years old.

i said no way and asked what year he was born.

The generation that would not pass away was originally born in and around 1900 , because one had to be old enough to understand the event that took place in 1914. Any 117 year olds left out there?

This reminds me of a chapter in I think Jerimiah where he, Jerimiah, is telling the people to put away their worship of Ashurah and worship only Jehovah. Their response is no way when we do things for her and worship her good things happen when we worship Jehovah it's implied that nothing good comes from it.

it was so unbelievably boring that i only managed halfway before i switched it off.

in this broadcast anthony morris iii (who i affectionately call "the don") stresses to us the importance of studying - not one - but two of their publications in order to understand the bible.

Russell said the same thing with out his books you would go back to Christian think back into darkness. Now no ones reading his old out dated books. Yet the GB is still using his propaganda techniques to keep their followers inslaved.

Why I think the Trinity doctrine is an irrelevant talking point with JWs, and what I believe could be a better approach.

there are no authentic/uncontested bible verses that prove a trinity.

the trinity doctrine is arrived at by inferences - not unlike the way that jws arrive at the doctrine that jesus is michael the archangel.

the jw proof texts against the trinity are at least as strong, if not stronger than, trinity proof texts.

The New Testament was clearly designed to promote jesus as the new god to be worshipped. The trinity was a later idea, that's why one can find scriptures that clearly show no trinity as well as other that seem to imply it.

In Acts I believe Jesus name is above all other names , john all one has to do is believe in Jesus, in romans profess Jesus and your saved. Nowhere in the New Testament does any one have to profess or exalt or worship the father to have life.
