At my JC they asked about recording it and I said no I wasn’t, they even aloud me to keep my phone because the main elder knew I had a Bible app on it and used it when looking up scriptures. Worked out great , got off with just a public reproof, . Nothing was juicy enough to keep the recording so i erased it. but yea the whole thing is rigged in their favor the only chance you have is if some of the elders were friends or liked you.

The right to record your judicial committee meeting
by UnshackleTheChains inok.. we have often heard secret recordings online of jc hearings.
but, what i would like to know is if individuals are entitled to the right of officially recording their judicial hearings?.
supposing i was to attend a judicial committee and i explained up front that i would like to record the proceedings and then place a dictaphone on the table.

Are you better off as a worldly person or a JW?
by Jules Saturn ini was having a conversation with a relative who has been inactive for several decades (part of the ‘75 generation) and he argued that a person that is a born in is better off staying in the organization rather than someone like him who lived as a “worldly” person but then became a witness later in life.
he argues that when you’re born in, all you know nothing outside of the organization, so you’re better off in than out, that’s why when born ins leave the org, they always come back.
i agree that as a born in, your social circle is composed of witnesses but i do feel that even born ins would be happier outside of the org than being in.

JWs do not live in a world or reality. Because of this the descisions they make are not always best for them and their families they live in a fog.
I noticed after I woke up how Raw the world felt around me. No one there to protect me or help me. We are surrounded by life and death all day long and it’s up to just us to make it, to support ourselves to protect ourselves. JWs don’t get it!

Two virgin births in the Bible, who knew?
by Crazyguy inin the famous verse from mathew chapter 1 verse 23 i believe the writer proclaims that mary a virgin was going to give birth to a son he would be called emmanuel.
he even stated this was to fulfill a prophecy.
thats prophecy is in isaiah chapter 7:14. .

James your missing the point , the prophecy was about another Emmanuel not Jesus at all.

Memorial Attendance ???
by Phizzy inhi all, anybody any anecdotal or actual idea of how attendance numbers went this year ?.
there are hints that it is well down, but is it ?
and if it is, will the borg stop crowing about the attendance as they always have ?.
-
Crazyguy
I’m willing to bet if there was a peak it was in 2014. Now that that’s gone the numbers will continue to go down. Of course that’s not what the Borg will tell us, kinda like their overall numbers. Lies more lies!

Thats prophecy is in Isaiah chapter 7:14.
Funny thing is the writer of Mathew read the scrolls the same way JWs do today. For if you keep reading the verses in Isaiah the prophet was stating a child would be born during the time of king Ahaz and before this child new from right or wrong so to speak two kings that were about to destroy Ahaz would be no more.
The greatest prophecy of all time! Jesus virgin birth and it wasn’t even a prophecy about him at all! And they call me crazy.

You MUST Sign the Data Collection Form "...obey...whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.¨"
by gone for good inthe many and complex issues surrounding the collection of person data and new laws aiming to protect individuals control of their own privacy, seem to have hatched about the same time as the governing body expressed their hope that it´s own 8 million would obey their order to "sign this form" effectively transfering total authority over privacy and data issues over to the borg.. what are your thoughts on this coincidence?.
zuckerberg lost billion$$ when people realized that he had prostituted their personal data and now wt wants the same signed access that he had to info that is $$$.... wt already owns all the real estate and now wants to own all the data.... it´s a current and global issue - please share your thought with the rest of us here.. .

Is this something their trying to do in the USA as well or is it just a European thing to get around new laws being introduced there?

I thought it was a good book but didn’t offer enough help or strategies to get loved ones out.

Movie-goers can be fickle (great movies that should've enjoyed huge box-office success)
by LoveUniHateExams injust thought i'd start a thread about this topic.. john carpenter's the thing (1982) was a great film, one of his best imo.
for me, it's right up there with alien (1979) as one of the greatest sci-fi horror films ever made.
and yet one film made anything between $100 - 200 million at the box office whereas the other made only $19 million.

Kingdom of heaven, was a great move and it really showed how religious leaders are. John carter was another good movie that didn’t do to well at the box office.
