Well acording to the Bible all those that believe in him are saved and will have everlasting life. So we will need to reduce the death toll a bit. But yes in the gospels he the nice loving son of god say that those that don’t believe need to be killed. But all and all he a really nice guy !

So let me get this right about what your saying about Jesus!
by nowwhat? injesus the non judgmental man who ate with sinners, fed the hungry, showed compassion for the poor, and who wanted mercy not sacrifice is the going to be leading the charge out of heaven with fire in eyes and out for blood.
killing 99.9 % of all men, women and children on earth.
because they didn't heed some obscure religious group that hadn't gotten one bible prophecy right in almost 150 years?!

Since the entire premise is wrong all I can say is No. No where in the Bible is there any proof of a deity or son of a deity coming invisibly in any year let alone 1914, what’s the point of that. Gods son sneaking around, the Bible says all eyes would see him.
Nothing the JWs have said or preached makes any sense when compared to the Bible. The only thing that they could be identified with in the Bible is false prophets.

Help me with the disfellowshipping topic, how is it NOT scriptural
by LevelThePlayingField inmany have said that jesus never shunned anyone.
yet it seems that the apostle paul said to shun an unrepentant sinner, "stop keeping company" and "not even eating with such a man" 1co 5:9-12. it seems like shunning is what paul wanted us to do.
but honestly, it doesn't seem right to me.

Yes that my biggest pet peeve. Even if one is shunned because he’s doing something very wrong in the congregation and then was kicked out, no where does it say that if this one stops and is repentant he is to be still shunned for another year or two until the elders decided to stop it.
Something else to consider and maybe inwrong on this but I believe that 2 Corinthians was written as a type of apology for the things written in 1 Corinthians. So Paul had a change of heart.

"You owe Jehovah humility and HONESTY" - an email from a JW
by Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho inhey forum goers.
i'd like your opinions on constructing an email reply to this shocker below.
bit of background about the sender: she is a middle-aged, cheery uberdub whose siblings left when a schism occured in her congregation in canada way back when.

Send her the paragraph that pale put in his post and follow it with proverbs chapter 4. JW s cherry pick and only use verse 18 then twists its meaning but the whole chapter is about wisdom and once you gain it it’s like the light of understanding. This chapter shows that it’s ok to gain wisdom unlike what WT says.

Withdrawing community support in the congs
by purrpurr ini've noticed in the past 10 years that the social support that used to be available in the congs, a shoulder to cry on, elders to help with family/marriage issues these seem to have been purposely withdrawn.
counsel is even heard from the platform that the elders are not there to help people with their problems.. so first in the 80s-90s they take away the congregation get to getters and social events and now they seem to be going one step further in taking away the emotional support for people too.. this will take away an aspect that i'm sure was keeping alot of people in the borg, the community support.
if that's not there and its just about meetings and ministry how many will start to get their emotional support elsewhere?.

This religion had always been about getting people to push their products and propaganda never about people helping people. When they do do something for someone it’s becasue that congregation is different.

"The last DAYS?"
by eyeuse2badub ini was asked last sunday, after a meeting that i attended with my wife, by a good friend if i believed that these were indeed the "last days".
what prompted his question was the public talk given by a young man that i have known since he was 7 years old and is now an elder at 30.. the talk made mention several times that we are 'definitely' living in the "last days".
i assume that the expression "last days" was prominent in the outline.. i hope that he way i answered my friend's question jump started his thinking.

I’m sure that’s the next excuse they’ll use “we said were in the last days and we know that a day can be several thousand years in Jehovah’s mind so we weren’t lying “ “now give us more money!”

Why NO bibles??
by stuckinarut2 ini know we have all said it before, but it simply blows my mind that the jws doing cart work do not have bibles on the cart to give out to interested ones!.
how can they say they are "bible students" trying to share the "bibles message" and not give out bibles!?.
other christian groups take the commission to share the bible seriously!

One excuse they use is a few years ago they noticed that people were requesting the Bible and then taking the pages out to use as cigarette paper when rolling up thier tobacco. But in a reality it’s about the money.

by Crazyguy inanyone know what may have been gong on at paterson in 1998?
i was listening to a interview and and ex bethelite relative was asking him what was going with the wt up off route 22. this person told him that ten oil or gas delivery trucks per day, the big ones were delivering to the wt.
i’m assuming it was to paterson not knowing if any other properties were or are owned by wt off of route 22?

These people know that they may loose some big lawsuits over child abuse so sell off as many properties as possible and then invest the profits in some other real estate that’s not to easy to locate as JW properties as well as put them in another corporation so as to not identify with Watchtower.
Lets also not forget that during a video a JW leader mentioned they had records on most of their publishers in the US minus 400,000. He goes on to state that this is just an over site and they hope to collect this missing data but I’m willing to bet that most of these 400,000 missing publishers don’t exist.
