  They figured out thier liars so they have to use shunning. Image the chaos if people could discuss apostate ideas and bring out their mistakes with no retaliation by the leaders. Congratulations would fall apart people would be sectioned off as ones that fully believed would try to stay away from ones that were openly on the fence.

  It would be great, and in time the whole house of cards would fall.

  I may have found a clue to Watchtower's sudden reversal on organ transplants

  i have read countless times in this site and others that there is speculation that someone high up in the watchtower world required an organ transplant, and then because of that, their position that they had held since 1967 changed in 1980.i believe i have found a clue to who that person might have been.

  i leave it to the exjw community to investigate further, but it's tantalizing!it is waay too much of a coincidence that:lee cordaway got a phone call in january 1980 that his kidneys were failing.

  lee was 18 years old at the time.watchtower printed its "organ transplants are allowed now" article in march 1980.. january 1981: lee goes into the organ donor list for new kidneys.august 1981: lee receives his new kidney.september 1981: lee's new kidney is rejected, he has to have it removed.

  jehovah is the “god of the gentiles also” and “there is no impartiality with god,” says the bible.

  (romans 3:29; deuteronomy 10:17).

  The Bible is a collection of writtings in some cases not even about the same god and then put into a book trying to make it as though its about the same deity. Many of these stories are not even about the same people. So it’s no wonder there are so many contradictions.

  i don't remember seeing it ever really talked about here but the facebook group with the namesake of this post shut down at the end of march.

  it was archived and they weren't clear as to when or if they would come back.

  it seemed to come out of nowhere, and i know a lot of people were disappointed.

  I’m really surprised this forum isn’t more popular. Forums like Facebook and reddit make posting and answering or making comments very time sensitive. There very superficial so to speak.

  Here a thread can be started and it will maybe loose traction after a while but one can still find older threads and comment on them and they get pushed back to the front so to speak so that thread can continue to be discussed. The way those forums are structured it seems like it just doesn’t happen as well.

  a newly published article by british sociologist david voas argues jehovah's witnesses may be about to experience a collapse in numbers.

  contrary to claims by american sociologist rodney stark who predicts strong future growth for jehovah's witnesses, voas shows that jehovah's witnesses' efforts at recruiting new members have become increasingly unsuccessful over the past few decades: the rate of increase has steadily declined, and the number of hours each publisher must preach to produce an extra convert has gone up substantially.

  voas suggests a reason for the stagnation may be that there is a natural limit to the number of people in a given population that are susceptible to conversion to sectarian groups like jehovah's witnesses - the 'carrying capacity' of the population, and that the limit has largely been reached.

  Struggling to Live a Lie

  it’s been very difficult, much more than i first anticipated to live a lie, (be pimo and a regular active member) i still live with my parents but i plan on moving out at the end of the year, so i really need to keep it together.

  but i think people are starting to get suspicious that something is up.

  i’ve stopped commenting, going on service all the time, talking at the door, and occasionally voicing something, such as a question that no one has a good answer for, that makes people think, but ahah, thinking is dangerous and wrong so that is suspicious of course.

  Don’t loose your family over this religion just become aloof at the hall, ignore the crap and go as little as possible. It’s mostly a social thing with so many not really knowing anything anyway.

  there would be as many as 4 conventions during the summer.

  This is the spot where most of washington state and even parts of Oregon have had thier regional conventions. There would be as many as 4 conventions during the summer. This year none. It was stated that do to construction at the dome the events would be held mostly at the locally owned assembly hall.

  Upon further review it looks like the dome is opened for business during the summer after all. Looks like a move to better raise money or more evidence of decline???

  i am shaking all over right now.

  i think it's worse that the bunker video.. i used to think there was no way that these people would actually "drink the cool aid" if you get my drift, but seeing this video i am now not sure it could never happen.. having a wife who i love dearly trapped in this cult is really freaking me out right now...

  Soon this will be a reality as 8 GB members will be running through the woods trying to escape the coming persecution and arrest for child abuse cover ups and as the swat team gets ever closer out of the clouds will appear jesus shooting arrows and the GB members in their final judgment.
