Kingdom Hall a total loss after 2nd fire in months

olympia, wash. -- authorities are investigating the second fire in a matter of months at a jehovah's witness kingdom hall in olympia.. the fire started just after 3:00 a.m. at cain rd se and 22nd se, according to the olympia fire department.

nobody was inside at the time.. roads near the building were shut down as firefighters investigated.

The 'IN' families

one thing i don't miss about being a jobo, is those families that ruled the congregations.. i've seen how the elders protected their own using our old friend, nepotism.. eg.

the son of an elder that stole a car and was prosecuted but 'let off' because it was kept secret and all his relatives were elders in the same congregation.

it certainly went on when i was an elder but i wasn't one of the 'in' crowd.

Elders daughter living with worldly guy but it was spun that they were just roommates. They ended up getting married.

Jehovah’s witnessing don’t fulfill anything except those that would preach another doctrine and be cursed, if I believed in the Bible any more.

These spots are paid for by WT. I used to do something similar on radio. You can pay for advertising or spots like this or you can even host a show that pushes your agenda or products. All paid for of course. Doubt very much the tv station did this of their own accord.

This year’s convention

two things i noted at this year’s rc.

1) the new teaching with respect to matthew 25:45 which was applied equally to the rank & file jw.

this teaching is also found in the watchtower study for last sunday.. then he will answer them, saying: ‘truly i say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me.. 2) the new armageddon video which was a big shift.

It seems to me that they are just honoring themselves some more and telling the rank and file they mean nothing and that they too must honor the GB more.
