why the watchtower is so short of money
by pepperheart inthe watchtower is so short of money because they have to pay for all the upkeep of so many branch offices around the world.because so many of the branch offices are in very poor countries and they are not balancing the budgets.

You can not have a major exodus of members every generation (born in kids) and continue to be solvent. I’m 50 years old and every new generation I seen many of them leave. Almost all the kids I grew up with left. My sister which is a little over ten years younger almost everyone in her generation she grew up with left. A percentage do come back.
When teenagers become adults most leave and yes some come back but I think less and less are coming back as time goes on. This along with the generation of those that joined in the big push pre 1975 about to die off and the cult is definitely in trouble.
Having Kingdom Halls with 200 seats yet only 40-60 publishers showing up is demoralizing so consolidating is the only way to go.

Two Gods seen in the Bible
by Ireneus ina careful reader of the bible can see depiction of two gods in the bible—one that of a loving father figure, and the other an impulsive sort of who has been copied thoughtlessly from other cultures.. 1) god of love (as seen in genesis chapter 1) who creates humans (men and woman simultaneously) “in his image” (which means he gave the best he can to his children, the potential to become like him) as a crown of creation with a command to take care of all species, and goes into silence unconcerned of mankind’s response [gratitude or worship] to him, yet with a presupposition to “renew” in case humans deplete/destroy the resources (mathew 19:28; revelation 21:1-5).
thus god’s action defines him as “the servant of humanity.” (luke 22:26, 27) this is in contrast to the second god (as seen in genesis chapter 2 and 3 and throughout other books) who makes the planning for suffering and death for humans in co-operation with his adversary.. 2) god of impartiality (deut 10:17; mathew 5:44-48) who asks us to love/greet everyone.
this is in contrast to the second god who commands his worshippers not even to greet those who do not share their beliefs.

I have found that several of the stories in the Bible were rip offs and rewritings from older stories not related to any Jew or Israelite. With that being said then some of the character of the god or gods spoken about in the original will or did most likely sneak into the revised writings.

Have they stopped writing new magazines?
by asp59 ineven if the world and organization(not for better,)change a lot from the 80s.
the watchtower articles seem exactly like the one we study in the ,80s.
there's a zombie feeling to them.

They have been reprinting articles for a few years now , I have noticed. Most are changed a bit but a few are word for word from an older WT.. They are putting very little effort into thier propaganda anymore. Someone I know that was high up in their writing department years ago told me the ones that are there now are brainless.

United Nations
by Sergey Antonov inhello, recently, i talked with the witness of the united states.
"jehovah's witnesses" in the united nations.
as far as i understand, the organization had to fully accept the un charter and cooperate with the un.the jehovah's witness replied to me that there is no contradiction in this.he said that witnesses are allowed to apply, for example, to courts or other organizations for help.when i told him that the organization is participating in the osce, he is said to be normal too.he said that they are not affected.

My dad had to quit a good paying job for a aerospace company because they had military contracts. No only was the WT part of the UN but went as far as publishing 4 magazines saying positive things about the UN.

Is Jesus and Michael the Archangel the same person?
by JW Answers inthe jehovah's witnesses believe that jesus christ and michael the archangel are the same person, and blatently ignore numerous verses and passages within scripture which explain that both jesus and michael are two separate persons.this video study (linked below) goes into the intricacies of hebrews chapters 1+2 explaining how the lord jesus and michael are different persons, and looks at the qualities, authority and power at which the lord jesus holds and how it is separate from angels including michael the archangel..

Michael was one of the archangels from the book of Enoch , jesus is a god introduced first by early Christians as the actual lamb of god then over time evolved to gods son to god himself as part of a trinity.

How Would You Prove To A JW That They Are Wrong?
by minimus inwhat could you say to prove to a witness that they simply do not have the truth?.
-
Crazyguy
I was able to prove just about every one of their teachings wrong to myself using just the Bible and common sense. Take for example the blood doctrine, they use a scripture in Acts to say it’s a valid doctrine and wasn’t lost to the new covenant.
But one can easily use the scriptures to point out that jesus said “nothing entering into a man can defile him,” “we desire mercy not sacrifice, “ saying it was ok to break the laws of the covenant if it was to save life.
Then there the scriptures in later New Testament writtings where Paul says it ok in Corinthians and I believe Colossians to go ahead and eat bloody meat. Last but not least can’t remember the book but Peter is given a vision of a table full of unclean things and is told it’s ok to partake, destroying the Jewish ideas on what and not what to eat.
These scriptures with out even going into the Old Testament prove thier blood doctrine wrong but most JWs won’t see it because thier thinking ability has been removed from them.
