  JWFacts is incorrect about "Holy Spirit". Do YOU know about the 40 or so years the WT taught there was NO holy spirit?

  i did my own extensive research as i was getting out, and by exploring actual changes and mentions of core doctrine, i learned how it came about that the gb teach that only they know the truth and only they get holy spirit.

  i was checking if jwfacts had it, and although they mention many older articles, it seems they didn't realize they taught there was no holy spirit.

  this was a real big eye opener for me, so thought i'd share it, and curious if any of you knew about this yourselves????.

  Did they really teach it for 40 years? I thought it wasn’t until some time in the late 20s that they started teaching jesus invisible return in 1914?

  If this is the case then they would have only taught it from about 28-48?

  What was the EXACT exJW website you first visited and why EXACTLY did you visit it?

  i had two episodes of visiting exjw websites:one time around 2007 when i just googled "jehovah´s witnesses" and dared to look at those sites.

  i was scared and i promised myself i would never come back to them.

  however, that one didn´t really count.the moment that woke me up was this:i got to know that whitney heichel was a jw and murdered by another jw, because i overheard that conversation in a kingdom hall.i looked up the news and in one of the news comments, there was one where an exjw was complaining that they were hijacking her funeral and they were really trying to downplay the fact that her murderer was a jw... and then it said "visit jwfacts.com"... which i did.and the rest... is history.what exactly got you onto an apostate website when you woke up?

  I think the site I first visited that really got my brain turning was 2001translation. Site.

  This site is a Septuagint translation site but they also have commentaries. These commentaries helped to open up my brain to different prospectives on the scriptures. This site and reading older WT publications really helped to find TTATT.

  I remember in one of his books Rutherford pretty much said the Holy Spirit was gone and he got his information from Angels. Can’t remember the book Vindication maybe.

  i studied biology at uni and specialised in animal biology (wolf behaviour) but i've always liked natural history.. even if i never went to uni, i'd still be amazed by nature and i'd still watch nature programs on tv.. i'd like start a thread where posters can post nature clips that are in some way amazing.. the vid below shows wild wolves in the canadian arctic encountering humans for the first time.. these wolves haven't been exterminated by human hunters and therefore haven't learnt to fear humans.

  result: wild wolves approach human strangers almost like dogs.

  Maybe the reason their willing to approach these men is one , they have been fed before by the other guy and two their The apex predator so they just don’t have the fear for man yet.

  I remember when I was growing up as a JW they using some scripture saying something of the sort that god put into animal to be afraid of man. Just another bible error.

  So India has now become the place we’re all the growth is and all the funds will go. Makes sense JWs won’t be able to verify if the money is being used there or not. They can make up any amount of publishers and spread all the propaganda about all the growth and JWs will be non the wiser. Brilliant, if your a money scamming cult!

  hi guys, long time without paying a visit to this site.

  today i returned to check a 'gossip' that is running around in brazilian exjw forums.. they are stating that is almost certain they will make a big change in their doctrine maybe this year yet in the annual meeting.

  they say people in warwick were commenting on this.

  They aren’t going to change and major doctrine. If you have paid attention they have been doing the exact opposite. They ofcourse are saying something to drive interest so they can keep people pluged in.

  District Assemblies now being held at Circuit Assembly locations?

  i haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.

  i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.

  why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.

  I think this is going to happen in more and more places. A lot of the circuit assembly sites are owned by the Borg. This way they can better isolate thier slaves and keep apostates out. It also make more sense from a money making standpoint.

  Moving Back to Chicago - Don't care

  my wife was diagnosed with ms about two years ago.

  we have been living in ohio for the last 5 years but were recently assigned to a new congregation because of the dissolving and sale of our congregation/kh.

  my wife's symptoms spiked after being relocated to our new hall back in january.

  My mother has MS and it didn’t seem to progress after a while, but she wasn’t going to most meetings either do to having to take care of a sick family member. She’s now going back to meetings regularly, it will be interesting to see if your MS now starts to progress or not. It will be interesting if there maybe a direct coalition between the the growth of the diseases and meetings attendance.
