Philo and Paul

I have read that many of Philos opinions mirrored what Paul supposedly taught. But back to your question about Paul miss using scripture. If there was any scriptures it looks ti me they were Gnostics writtings. I don’t think any other scriptures were much around at the time since many scholars believe the gospels came after many of the writings attributed to Paul.

I believe the whole Christians concept was a mix of teachings from the older Osiris cult and other Gnostics ideas thrown in. It’s been written that many of the ideas in the New Testament were only allegory’s that later became taught as real stories and characters to convince the crowds to except Christianity.

Increase in Second Sealings for the Anointed?

the other day i heard my anointed roommate on the phone, discussing something called the "second sealing".

i heard her say that most anointed people only receive it shortly before death, if they receive it at all.

she went on to say that she has been hearing about several other anointed people receiving theirs recently and not dying afterward.

Hate to burst anyone’s bubble but the only anointed per the New Testament is Jesus. All who believe are part of the body of Christ therefore anointed through him. Nothing in the book of Revelations is about any anointed ones per say. It’s about dead Christians and alive ones that’s the ones talked about in chapter 5 and 7 etc.

Nothings JWs say on the matter is relevant.

The Public Talks

i remember when i use to give a number of public talks.

i had a binder with every public talk listed by number in it.

i don't have it anymore.. when i did the fade in 2002 after 33 years a slave since 1969. i destroyed all my watchtower materials and i had a lot.

So absolutely true. I often wondered why it took me so long to wake up well it’s the talks and the Watchtowers. They were so boring I would just tune them out and daydream the meetings away.

I think the writtings of Paul come from other sources like Philo and others . Many people say Paul was an imaginary character modeled after people like Saul of Tarsis and again his writtings were from other people. Experts have already deduced that half of the biblical writings attributed to Paul are forgeries.

Its amazing when you study heavily like your doing how most of the stuff in the Bible is not original to the Bible and it’s characters. Even some of the saying attributed to Jesus have been found to have been written many years earlier.

it uses the example of human feelings as a basis to understand god.. for instance: under the heading "does god notice you?

", it goes into great detail of about what a woman feels when she bonds with her child.

i think there will be a change in the 144000 belief.

too many witnesses think they have a heavenly hope.

maybe 1914 will be discarded too.. what is your watchtower prediction?

Blondie has the right idea, they’ll just structure it as some kind of expense and then claim it’s easiest to pay it each month if each person just contributes a certain amount. The amount will be small to make easy for the rank and file to agree then it will go up each and every year.

just happened across this interesting web site on google maps and found an interesting story of how one scammer was getting money from the elderly and supposedly leaving it to the wt.

seems like every day i run across a story iv never heard of before!

Truth b known, what country are you in? There was a JW in the hall I grew up in that robed gas and sips as he traveled, he was a truck driver. I also think he was a child molester of his own daughters. He finally confessed to the elders he was a robber and they encouraged him to turn himself into the police.
