Me too once I realized they replaced Jesus as my mediator with themsleves and I'm not in the new covenant and basically have to be a slave of there's, it was over for me.

by Crazyguy inok so today while at breakfast get a phone call fom my daughter asking were i am because an elder/ friend had stoped by my house hoping to see me.
its been a few months since ive seen this guy and the only one that seems to actually care.
so anyway he meets me at were i was having breakfast and we start to talk.

Purpose of witnessing and preaching?
by leaving_quietly in1 timothy 2:1-7. first of all, then, i urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made concerning all sorts of men, 2 concerning kings and all those who are in high positions, so that we may go on leading a calm and quiet life with complete godly devotion and seriousness.
3 this is fine and acceptable in the sight of our savior, god, 4 whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.
5 for there is one god, and one mediator between god and men, a man, christ jesus, 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for allthis is what is to be witnessed to in its own due time.

Great thread, the scriptures you mention are spot on. I have two elders coming to my house this week sometime and these scripture will be remembered by me as another nice weapon to use as a defence so that maybe they will just leave me alone after this. I had a converstation with another elder yesterday and while talking about the JW's and the Good News I wish i would have had these scriptures in mind as well. This forum is always a great place to come for knowledge.

anyway if you look at rev 5:10 these look to be the same as the great-crowd, being from the nations etc.
and are dead.

Nice post Tammy, most people including myself see the word 'reign' and we think to rule over and that also how the ORg had taught it. But like you said and is confirmed in Romans thats not what the bible's term for the word means. Its important that people know the difference. Peace.

I found and read this sites expert (Leolaia) on the same subject, her thread titled,{144k and the Great Crowd of Revelation}. She also has come to the same conclusion as the person I first posted about. Tammy if you read chapter 5 of Romans, Paul speaks of the term Reign in a totally different way then what we think. Also Adam was supposed to Reign over the animals etc. but not over other humans, priests also do not in Jah's arriangment rule over other men.

How old is your mother??? She may be too old to try to change, maybe better to leave it alone and only when she attacks you or your beliefs then you can have a response geared towards her unwillingness to look at things objectively. You could even have a couple of the mags handy that encourage other to be critical of their religions. The problem is JW's are so indoctrinated they can't get this indoctrination out of the way to see the real understanding.

I do not believe 144k are literal Israel for they lost that chance and that is why the tribes are not the original listed. Also the scriptures never say anyone let alone the 144K rule with Christ as Kings, check your Greek. I did like you believe that the 144K represented the lost sheep of Israel since Jesus came for those first, but the events written in Revelations don't seem to match up with that. Anyway even this writer is quick to say that hes just speculating and know one really knows, these theories just make a lot more sense then the JW dogma.

Blondie, They can slice it all they want but its like the subjects of Baptism and the New Covenant. With Baptism they say "yes you can get baptised as a symbol of your faith in Christ" but they dont tell you that "no your not a true christian and no holyspirit is going to be poured out on you because your just a Jonadab".
As for the New Covenant they say "Yes Jesus died for you as a ransom sacrifice" But then they don't tell you that with out the New Covenant which came before his death that not being in the new covenant, his death is meaningless to you. Infact Why would there even be a need for a New Covenant otherwise.

Unflipping believeable

she wont take a .99 cent chapstick from me and when ever i attempt to do something for her she pitches a fit.

I know a man that was a big wig at Bethel for awhile and he told me when traveling around giving talks many of the friends would give him money. He felt unconfertable about this so he asked to stop doing talks. But like others here have said there all cheap screwy bastards that will use and abuse you and then post on facebook for all the world to see when they give a homeless man a penny.

This guy has been in the Truff since 1986 baptised and completly blew a head gasket when I informed him that Jesus is not his Mediator. He completly doesnt belive me and while talking I realise he also thinks hes a son of god etc. So I had to implore him several times to go home and type in mediator in brackets in the cd rom library and he will see what I'm talking about.
Its crazy these guys are elders and supposed to be out thier helping the congragation and they don't even know the dogma. Not sure if he'll look into it but I hope he does then he'll find out that hes nothing in the GB eyes, not a son of God, does'nt have christ as a mediator, not under the New Covenant, does'nt have the gift of Salvation, nothing nothing nothing. I just can't believe it, I mean these are the fools that will probably decide in the future weather to DF me or not as an apostate and they themselves don't know shit!!!!!!! Now I blowing and head gasket!
