I read that most of the buildings near Babylon today are US military stuff since the war. Its surprising that since Cyrus diverted the river that i still took several hundred more years before the city was totally abandoned.

by Skinnedsheep ini always accepted that babylon was simply a pile of ruins miles from anything and inhabited only by goats.
this is one of the proofs that witnesses use for bible accuracy and prophecy.. if you are interested check out ancient babylon on google maps.
it is about 3 miles from the city of hillah which is 380,000+ people.

by Stand for Pure Worship inexcellent material can be found within the reasoning book, page 328, para.2, 3. occasionally, i see posters make presumptuous comments like, "all you need is the bible", or, "i'm born-again, so there's no need for spiritual assistance from another christian", or,"i'm saved", or my favorite, "jesus talks to me directly.
" on one hand, i can't be overly critical of such ones because they do attempt to read and understand the bible on their own.
(acts 17:11) not to mention they're generally peaceable folks, just self-misguided when erroneously believing that they can go it alone.

In Romans Paul talks about a reconciliation with the God, getting back to the kind of relationship that Adam had with god before he sined. It was never about a paradise earth. Yes mankind was to fill the earth and subdue it but who is to say that after this they may go into space or become angels like creatures or go on to another plane of existence. The book of revelation is clear that the great crowd and 144K are both in heaven, whether or not this is symbolic is unclear.

I guess in the Finish Mystery Book Rutherford talks about 4 classes the 144k, great multitude, the Jonadabs and one other. In the 30's the jonadabs and the great crowd become one in the same.

You are correct I researched this whole thing while researching the subject of the Mediator. I even think to this day the rank and file are considered jonadabs by the remnant at bethel. They just no longer use the term so as to not bring attention to it. I also think that is why the baptism is not of the father son and holyspirit but to and Org. Because there not worthy anyway to the remnant class.

Isn`t the scripture at Rev.12: 12,13 Pointless ? " Woe for the earth...because the Devil has come down to you having great anger...."
by smiddy indoesnt the bible clearly show he has always been on the earth causing trouble and havoc ?
onwards.. then especially with the account in the book of job.. not forgetting his tempting jesus in the wilderness.. being reinforced in 2cor.4:4 "...the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of unbeleivers...".
all of which occurs on earth with humans , so whats the big deal about rev.12:12,13 ?.

Jesus said right before his death that "Now Satan will be cast out". The book of Job was mentioned and that book seems to be a focus on how Job does not have the right to really question god, not as to a bet between satan and god. The book of Revelation is a bit harder to figure out but those that seem to have a Peterist idea about the book being written for the 1 century may very well be correct.
Theres is things in the book that seem to refure to Rome, Jerusalem, and the politiacal things going on at the time. Also if one consideres the idea that the book of Revelation may have been written around 60ce and not later as most have said this idea has a lot more merit and yes there is a lot of evidence that the book was written early then first believed. One thing to remember is at the time of the writing of Timothy not all scriptures were canonized yet and were not the scriptures that were refured to as being inspired. I believe only the early writings of the phrophets were the ones refured to as being inspired and even the jews today break up thier scriptures or book into 3 sections.

How can I stay motivated for field ministry?

If i was a still practicing JW all the new tracts etc. would make it hard for me to want to go out in the field service. Man there so ugly old fashion looking and downright boring not to mention written like their for 5 year olds. YUCK!
