Sorry but your mistaken. The original God of the Israelites was El, the storm God was one of his offspring named baal Hadad. The idea that yahweh was also one of El's offspring was never proved and many of the mentioning of this God was just found to be that of the god Yam another one of El's creations and the god of the sea. Most scholars believe that the Israelites worshipped El as thier primary God then in time switched to Hadad. Hadad took on the attributes of El and even Asherah. Some believe, yahweh was introduced from the eastern desert to the Jews and took on or absorbed the attributes of all the God's mentioned above. I believe that the tetrogramiton YHW may have in fact been a symbol meaning the family of God's El, Baal Hadad, Asherah etc. Most of the references to God in the Hebrew Bible was the word elohim which means God's and not God. There are of course times when the Jews would call on just one God out of this pantheon. Oldest found Bible artifact was a silver silinder quoting verses found in the book of numbers saying to the effect 'may the Lord be with us', which translates 'may baal be with us'.

This is what led me to finally wake up. Since childhood I could not understand stand God's reactions and all his killings. I mean really kill the first man a woman for eating a piece of fruit and then torture them before they die. Or at the flood kill all mankind all animals and all vegetation for something the angels did. Didn't make sence, I'm much happier knowing I have more love in my left nut then the god of the Bible has in his whole being. -

I still don't understand the courts ruling that they don't have to warn anybody, this is so wrong and I wish this case went on to a higher court so that ruling could be thrown out as vile. -

the brother quickly goes through all the scriptural "proofs" and the householder is dumbfounded.

I think the cave paintings in France and the ones in Indonesia are some really good examples to use. Both were dated using that fact that over the Paintings crystals were deposited and they can measure this very accurately because some type of products in the crystal that decays at a known rate. Another thing worth mentioning is the Pyramids of Giza and Several Egyptian cities and temples all existed before the flood and show no sign of water damage. Same goes with cities in ancient Sumerian. -
