Seeking First
by berrygerry inin response to a post on reddit, i would like to make this long withheld post.on more than one occasion, i have experienced what seemed like miracles.due to whatever circumstances, in retrospect, largely caused by borg directive, our family became perpetually "in need.
"my efforts, as the "head," to do the right borg thing, service, meeting attendance, family worship, never seemed to provide the relief promised by wts.mentally, i have always wrestled with the contradiction of job and of matt.
6:33.satan challenged that if a jw were tested with material, etc.

2013 a hurricane hit a hall in the Philippines, JW's were inside convinced they were in God's house. I can say confidently that as the hall was being destroyed and ones being swept out to sea, they were praying like they never prayed before. Thier dead now, and if reserected how many would faithfully repeat the same process. I assuming most if given the opportunity would make sure they were not again at the same place at the same time, they instead would be as far away up in the hills as possible and no longer praying but firmly hanging on to a tree or something up on the hill. Your case was of someone with the means helping you out when you needed it, that's all. -

P.S. To All members of the Worldwide Order of Special Full-Time Servants of Jehovah’s Witnesses
by The Searcher inbased on the org's doctrine regarding john 5:28, 29 "do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment", namely - .
that "those resurrected to life on earth will be judged "according to their deeds" during judgment day", then be prepared to lock up your house, possessions, & daughters during christ's 1000 years reign, because the "faithful slave" says that evil people will be judged for doing evil things after they are resurrected and living in the new world!.
that doesn't sound like a paradise to me!

Just goes to show thier reasoning on Romans 6:7 is flawed because that scripture says thier being judged for what they did and the JW's say one they die thier sins are washed clean -

What kind of errors in the Bible?
by TheWonderofYou inthe new testament specialist daniel wallace notes that although there are about 300,000 individual variations of the text of the new testament, this number is very misleading.
most of the differences are completely inconsequential--spelling errors, inverted phrases and the like.
a side by side comparison between the two main text families (the majority text and the modern critical text) shows agreement a full 98% of the time.[18].

Were you thinking of camels not horses,? I never heard of horses being an issue the Egyptians had chariots before the Israelites were ever mentioned but I know there are those that say camels came at a later date then they were depicted being used in the Bible. -

My introduction and confession
by elderINewton inwell another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.
i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.
i'm sorry i sat in on a jc, and voted to df.

One major error in the Bible is the story of David and Goliath, experts have looked at the armor Goliath was described as wearing and it's matches that of a much later Greek hoplite soldier. The Philistines are shown on the walls of Egypt showing exactly what they wore. This shows the writer who made up the story did it at a much later time and he didn't realize that the soldiers of the time line depicted didn't have armor like this or even the technology to create it. -

Why did Jesus have to die?
by Crazyguy inlet's think about this for a bit.
adam was tempted and sinned by eating of the fruit.
he missed out on immortality by being denied the tree of life.

Let's think about this for a bit. Adam was tempted and sinned by eating of the fruit. He missed out on immortality by being denied the tree of life. He continued to live on though for almost a thousand years. Jesus on the other hand passes three temptations by Satan yet still dies, what I don't get it. He passed the test so he equaled the scales, so why does he still have to die? Death was a result of Adams error and had nothing to do with the test. If someone can make a good argument why I'm wrong then the next question would be then why did Jesus have to die the way he did a brutal torturous death, why not in his sleep most likely the way Adam went?
If my argument holds up to scrutiny I'm thinking this maybe another way to get people to wake up.

All quiet on the western front
by campaign of hate inrecently it seems very quiet in jw land.. jw broadcasting has been in full swing for months now, nobody bats an eye lid at that anymore.. so the question is, what is next?
the next organisation change, the next doctrine change.
it seems like this is the quiet before the storm.. the way things are going, it's almost like they try and one up their last change, things in jw land get that bit more crazy every year.. i'm hedging my bets toward a monthly public talk broadcast straight from new york.

Two things the 1970s crowd is starting to die off no more real growth the over all numbers will go down and number two as it becomes more and more obvious to the rank and file that the end is not coming more people will leave faster.
