Should this Body of elders be considered blood guilty?
by dbq407 inover the weekend a very nice, caring individual was killed in a car accident after meeting.
she was 32 y/o and has a 3 year old daughter.
her husband was driving home from meeting when his car slid off the road, came back on the road, and was broad sided by a truck.

Lets not forget in 2013 the elders did not cancel the Thursday night meeting even though the biggest typhoon in the history of the Philippines was about to hit. In fact they encouraged them to stay in the kingdom halls when the authorities said to get to higher ground. So if you want your blood guilt there's a much better example. Let not forget in the book of Romans the superior authorities are the government, the elders went against their advice. So guilty. -

Obey the Superior Authorities God says / God says Satan is controlling the Superior Authorities.?
by smiddy inromans 13 : 1-4 clearly states that the superior authorities are an arrangement from god , defy them and you are working against the arrangement of god at your own peril.. christians are to be obedient to the superior authorities ,"for their is no authority except by god , the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by god .therefore he who opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of god ".
matt.
4 :8-10 shows that all the kingdoms and governments are under satan`s control , jesus never disputed that claim .

To many contradictions in the Bible to be able to answer the question with any clarity. -

If the persons involved will risk their lives instead of staying home when the weather is bad it's their own stupidity. -

GB bites off more than they can chew!
by biblexaminer inthe gb bit off more than they can chew.
they promised that the nwt revised would be available in so many languages by now, and they have failed miserably.. english stands alone.
as a result, they are in damage control mode.

So do you all think that the Bible will only be available in these other languages via tablet or their app etc.? -

Turn the (digital) pages of the Codex Sinaiticus (and say thank you to the British Library).
by fulltimestudent inmany surviving documents are now digitised.
the israeli museum has digitised copies of the qumran scrolls and the british library have provided a web-site where you can have a simulated experience of what you would see as you turned the pages of the codex sinaiticus.. http://www.bl.uk/turning-the-pages/?id=b00f9a37-422c-4542-bfbd-b97bf3ce7d50&type=book.

Reference for WT article.
by Lostwun inawhile back someone posted a pic of the rank/ order of command within the org.
it started with a picture of earth and god sitting on his throne, then the gb body members sitting at there table, then the elders underneath them and then the r&f and so forth.. no mention of jesus in that photo.
could someone familiar with the article that it came out of provide me with the reference please?.

I remember that pic and saved it to my computer, can't remember the date though. I think most witnesses would just say the man on the throne is Jesus not Jehovah to over come the issue. -

Two interesting places in the Bible, Bethel and Megiddo.
by Crazyguy infirst if one looks into the place bethel this is where the king of israel sets up golden calves and tells his people here is your god's go here and to dan to worship.
he didn't want his people going all the way down to jerusalem.
he also made his own priests again to take worship away from jerusalem and it's priests the levites.

First if one looks into the place Bethel this is where the king of Israel sets up golden calves and tells his people here is your God's go here and to Dan to worship. He didn't want his People going all the way down to Jerusalem. He also made his own priests again to take worship away from Jerusalem and it's priests the levites. The other area is the place called Megiddo also know for the famous place called Armageddon. What's interesting about this place is I can find no evidence of an Israelite or Jewish army ever winning a battle at Megiddo. Josiah supposedly went their and was killed battling the Egyptian king Neco.
So I guess my point to this is we used to all worship in a organization that's head quarters is named Bethel after a place the Bible claims was a place of false worship. And this great war at Armageddon that is to be fought is mentioning a place that the great god of the Jews never won at. Yet the Egyptian God was victorious on several occasions. Interesting.
