As congregations get more spread out and members are shoved in to larger congregations of people in some cases , it will become that much easier for those on the fring to stop going all together .

a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.
the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

Why start preaching work in 1876? Something to ask JW's who are still in
by fedup inwe learn from the bible that the characters that preached doomsday messages, such as lot, noah, etc all got to see the result of the message they preached, we studied that the final judgement from god was seen by the preacher as well as the people that heard and ignored the message.
my point is this, it would have been ridiculous for noah to start preaching to people, put the fear of god in all the listeners that the flood is coming, build the ark and then as a result, nothing happens to them.
even if the flood would have happened later, let's say 50 years after noah and all the people that heard him have died from natural causes.

Just a side note but despite what was written in 2 Peter , Noah didn't preach. The covenant was with him and his family that's it.

I need more faith so I've been told
by hoser ini attended the circus assembly last weekend and i have come to the conclusion i am lacking faith.
the opening talk on the program, the very first words that came out of the speakers mouth told me so.
he said most of us here are lacking faith even though we might not know it.

None of the Old Testament characters had to have faith. According to all the stories they got to see things in action, talk to God see him face to face experience miracles. But we we have to have faith! Nope done with that. I've seen what happens to people that have faith, they die broken,old , broke and in poor health. Isn't God great!

The “boldness” of the GB
by Hecce inthis topic is related to the one about the relocation of publishers and moving and dissolving congregations.. some of the things that we are seeing now were unthinkable a few years back, examples the closing of the branches, layoff of bethelites and travelling overseers, the grabbing of the congregations funds and many more.
some of my friends tell me that basically the wt was operating with an early 20th century business model that needed a tune up and that worldly consultants are behind the changes that have been implemented.. nevertheless to put it in hollywood terms, they seem to think that they are on a “mission from god” and that they are “going where no man, has gone before”..

Their also acting like they really did think the end would come before the year 2000. Maybe the ones that were still alive and In charge after the early 80's clean out really are that deluted and dumb? We almost saw that a couple of years ago with the lets build a bunch of Kingdom Halls shortly followed by were suspending all building programs speech. It's like they didn't see it, see the fact that thier whole printing business model was done. Then came all the begging and now digital information and more begging.

If true this is good news, the Borg is loosing members and is contracting not expanding . They are selling off Kingdom Halls and moving people around to make it appear that each congregation is strong and vibrant . The past with all these new foreign speaking congregations poping up was all just smoke and mirrors. Less then 5 million baptised memebers and failing , me thinks so.
Whats even better as they contract thier footprint in the community becomes even less and this will maybe wake up even more.

JW remark about blood transfusion
by Gorbatchov inrecent i had a conversation with an old jw friend.
he told me his mother rejected a blood transfusion in a critical fase, and survived it, and of course it's good to hear that she makes it good now.. what me triggered, was a remark he made about what the elder of the hospital committee told him.. this elder praised the mother of my old friend because of rejecting the transfusion.
the elder told them that most jehovah's witness in the netherlands take a blood transfusion when their life is at stake.

Chook. It was finding out about the use of cows blood and its acceptance that made me finally leave the cult. I was awake and studying about blood and all thier other doctrines breaking them all down using the bible. Realizing all the ones that did not taking blood but others after 2006 that lived do to products like this and the fact that WT allowed it was discusting and still is.

according to what they say if i'm correct an investigation was done back in 1998 in concerning what american companies invested money in to germany.
mike and kim state that a document they have attained shows a list of american firms that had invested into germany as late as 1943. on this list is non other then watchtower !!

These types of claims are worth looking into but yes Kim and Mike should do more fact checking before just doing a video. The paper doesn't show exactly what the WT invested in Germany. I also didn't like Mike personal beliefs being put out there. Make apostate videos that destroy the WT credability but don't destroy your own in the process .

interesting question
by jayjay78 infirstly i'm a df'd witness.. i was in the org all my life.. vividly remember out witnessing as a kid in the 80s with my mum and having apostates jumping houses before we could get to them ..all the way up the street.. remember it because the guy looked like tom baker from dr who - frizzy hair and long colourful scarf.. i think the people at the doors were made more curious by them actually, so when we knocked ,they were inclined to have a listen.. anyway i'm out and cant see myself ever going back,because my family has fully shunned me..and even if i was to go back and be a member..i don't think i could forgive them...totally scarred me.. anyway my question is :.
if you were head of this religion and you wanted to keep it clean and pure etc..how would you deal with people who delib broke the rules?.
no shunning of course..but whats the alternative?
