The lawsuit where the judge froze one of their properties had to be a major factor. Cash flow issues probably another factor as well.

they made good money and good connections.. but i'm sure jw.org made a very, very big mistake in brooklyn.
they did.. they sold and are selling all the property for money.

I met a 104 year old man today
by Bad_Wolf ini was at a mall trying on shoes and this old man is in a wheelchair near me.
says how he thought those shoes were sharp and he had never worn brown shoes before and that he is 104 years old.
i said no way and asked what year he was born.

This reminds me of a chapter in I think Jerimiah where he, Jerimiah, is telling the people to put away their worship of Ashurah and worship only Jehovah. Their response is no way when we do things for her and worship her good things happen when we worship Jehovah it's implied that nothing good comes from it.

July Broadcast - Bible Teach book and Keep Yourselves In Gods Love book

it was so unbelievably boring that i only managed halfway before i switched it off.
in this broadcast anthony morris iii (who i affectionately call "the don") stresses to us the importance of studying - not one - but two of their publications in order to understand the bible.

Why I think the Trinity doctrine is an irrelevant talking point with JWs, and what I believe could be a better approach.
by Island Man inthere are no authentic/uncontested bible verses that prove a trinity.
the trinity doctrine is arrived at by inferences - not unlike the way that jws arrive at the doctrine that jesus is michael the archangel.
the jw proof texts against the trinity are at least as strong, if not stronger than, trinity proof texts.

The New Testament was clearly designed to promote jesus as the new god to be worshipped. The trinity was a later idea, that's why one can find scriptures that clearly show no trinity as well as other that seem to imply it.
In Acts I believe Jesus name is above all other names , john all one has to do is believe in Jesus, in romans profess Jesus and your saved. Nowhere in the New Testament does any one have to profess or exalt or worship the father to have life.

Bottom line be careful, a friend of mine wife separated from him on grounds he wasn't spiritual enough or taking enough of the lead. The elder were on her side. He was later dfd because he told them he had a friendship with a female friend at work , nothing physical but they said it was unbecoming of a Christian. So in the end they let her do what she wanted and dfd him for doing nothing!
