  The Bible was written for Gentiles, those they want to deceive. The Bible is full of lies, plagarism (that is, copied from other nations and culturesl) and deception. Armageddon is one of those teachings that are deceptive, and it's meant to keep you and me in line and obedient. The world is having wars here and there all right, and may be gearing up for WW3, so that's going to be a terrible time. Look into the history of Europe during WW2, that may be coming this way because the same demons exist. But Armageddon from "God" isn't going to happen.

  zeb-they're told that "Jehovah" will protect them so no matter what dumb decision they make, it's "Jehovah" either protecting them or will help them and they will give him all the glory. (If they only knew who "Jehovah" really is.) But then, you can't blame them because that's what they hear from the podium.

  so i'm reading another carl sagan book and he seems to invariably find a way to slam j-dubs in each one.

  (i can't say i blame him.).

  anyway, in this one he discusses the fact that the gospels give contradictory geneologies of jesus--differing lines back to david from joseph, and a different number of generations.

  The Bible is a book of lies and plagarizes from Ancient Babylon, Rome and any other civilization they could steal from. By the way, try justifying the "virgin birth", oh, my goodness. Jesus, even if he did exist, was only a Jewish Rabbi.

  sitting in the service of my old church, i am reminded of the power of corporate worship, the repetition of key phrases.

  one reaches a peculiar estatic state, intentional i am sure.

  i find myself wishing the congregation would join in a huge line dance to seal the experience.

  I noticed on the news that yesterday morning in England, Prince William and Kate were there. He, through protocol, "planted" a poppy. By the way, I wonder if they would let us buy one from the Americas, here? Would be nice to have because most of us with European bloodlines, were affected by this wasteful war. I hate to say this, but I'm going to--what blood-thirsty god do they worship-the manufacturers of this terrrible war?

  Volunteering.

  since i left the watchtower a couple of years ago, i started volunteering 3 hours a week at a wecare center.

  it's like goodwill.

  well, i've been there approximately 9 months, and yesterday i received a lovely thank you card from them.

  I agree, LL, I wish all of the Witnesses would stop going out in service. They are told to go, go, go, that this is the most important work ever. And they are brain washed as to where to go, and how to present the message, and that they are saving people. Most Witnesses are good people and believe all that nonsense.
