  Thank you, Splash and Oubliette, that is very kind of you both. This 1914 date is sure, (not like the WTS), and it is 100 years ago. A tragic, tragic loss of life and for what? For nothing. Oh, some of the elite got very, very rich. But a tremendous gene pool was lost.

  Could it be that Jehovah is punishing me for leaving his religion?

  i know it's a completely absurd thing to say, but something happened to me today that triggered the old cult reaction.

  my mind instantly lapsed back into that of a jw and for a split second i thought that because i wasn't doing jehovah things that jehovah's blessing had been removed from me and this is why my life seems to be running into so many dead-ends.

  as a jw i attributed anything good happening to me to being the result of my being a good jw and dutifully doing everything the borg teaches.

  Volunteering.

  since i left the watchtower a couple of years ago, i started volunteering 3 hours a week at a wecare center.

  it's like goodwill.

  well, i've been there approximately 9 months, and yesterday i received a lovely thank you card from them.

  Yes, it looks like a demonic troll looking at him. The artwork of the WBTS have lots and lots of subliminals in their artwork, anything from bad words to sex organs. Whenever the brothers at New York are notified about them, all they say is oh, it was a rogue in the art department, and we got rid of him. Yeah. If you are interested, just google subliminals in the Watchtower literature. And this is supposed to be God's Organization? Whenever I found out about them, I never picked up a magazine again, or pamphlet from them.

  Losingit--Yes, it's just like a Goodwill Store. Have you heard of them? This store sells the free stuff given them after it's sorted, defective stuff discarded, some things are cleaned. There is also a store called Santas Helpers and everything in it is absolutely free, people give things they don't want anymore. If you'll p.m. me, I can tell you where they're at.
