  What did you do with old WT/Awake magazines?

  when you were a witness, what did you do with your old watchtower (public/ study versions) and awake magazines?

  i know for some throwing away a magazine is comparable to burning a quran.

  i never threw them out!

  I kept them for years, yes the Quran. Finally, I threw them out for the garbage man to pick up.

  i've gotten used to the almost daily offers to get your pastoral degree now but this one just make me laugh.

  make phil rich by joining his slice a loaf gang.... if people spent their time and energy investing in their family and other relationships in this life, rather than spending their 70 years focused on a pretend-future, imagine how much better the earth would be...all the people living life in peace... .

  I believe that "Jehovah" is actually a very strong and bully-type devil that has set himself up to be worshipped. And buddy, don't think he hasn't made it work. That's whom Jehovah's Witness worship, they thank him for their food, they ask for his protection, they ask him to guide their life, on and on. I did the same, and now I realize I was asking a demon-god for all this.

  well, i have finally got rid of my baptism cards.

  the congratulations cards....the wt ones, the ones with sheep on etc.... all gone.

  they dated back to 23/09/2000.. has anyone else "purged" their witness past this way?.

  OneEyedJoe-you say you tore up your blood card? If you gave it to your doctor or medical center, they will have a copy of it, so it might behoove you to tell them, (and you would have to tell them, not a relative), that you do indeed take blood now and to delete their copies of your blood card.

  obviously i'm having ex cult issues, family still in and a wife that's all kokoo for cocopuffs as well as our marriage isn't good.

  i would like to leave her, she has never been the kind of wife i wanted.

  anyway the stress is getting to be to much, thinking about things all the time and its effecting my work as well as otherthings.

  the biggest regret i have about association with jw's is that they used me to publish their lies.. yeah.

  a publisher.

  think about the responsibility of a "publisher".. a publisher takes pride in bringing "truth" to the public.

  people like robin williams can make you laugh.

  we might think that they have it all but we really know nothing about their demons, their problems, their issues.

  someone might be funny on the outside but be totally depressed from within..

  "over seven and a half million witnesses of jehovah really have found him and they truly love him.".

  why are they no longer touting "nearly 8 million" witnesses?

  I think the growth, if that's what it is, is coming from young family members- I mean really young. When I would go to the conventions I would point out to the friends that went with me that the baptismal candidates were so young they had to be children of Witnesses, and not converts found in the door-to-door work.
