One Reason Jws Can Be Duped Easily

what i am about to state here has been said many times before in various ways, but i am offering some observations that i made as a bookstudy conductor over a period of 12 years, 9 of those as an elder, and before that as an ms filling in.. i was the type of conductor who would attempt to 'probe beneath the surface' as it were, when i conducted.

i was often amazed and sometimes a bit frustrated (though i tried never to be impatient with the people there) by the lack of comments at the bookstudy that would offer anything more than just a re-read of what the paragraph said.

i realize that many folks have busy lives and of course have little time for extra thought or research.

NW and I have just been chatting about the same said thing, inasmuch, that as JWs we accepted on face value what was on the printed page, and never thought to challenge certain thoughts. As you believe that you have the 'truth' so why question it!

Mind you as time came for us to leave (drift on my part) NW started to ask difficult questions, and as you know that is just not allowed.

Jws are lemmins..... over the cliff we go........wweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bang.

But, tell me this, why were we always being got at to 'study more' personal study is so important.... but just think if we had really studied hard for those meetings, well maybe we would have left a lot sooner.....

What should we reply when invited to memorial?

when my mil invites my husband to the memorial he plans on saying, "well i've already been to the memorial before.

if you've been there once, there's no need to go again since the talk is the same mumbo-jumbo year after year and i'm not anointed anyway.".

what do you plan on saying or have you said?

Well before my mother and family decided to shun me, she did enquire as to whether I would be attending the Memorial, and I told her in no uncertain terms NO. Just like that... she was quite surprised, because this will be the first one I have ever missed in all my life...

but since I told her that if associating with JWs meant living with them through eternity and beyond I said that I would rather not know, so asking if I would be attending the Memorial seemed to be a pointless question. She just wanted to have more ammunition to shun me..... aaaawwww.

We met Mum..

actually due to a couple of crossed wires on my part we nearly missed each other, but thank goodness we didn't.. we ended up in a pub on the river (thames), and we talked and talked and talked and talked..... you get the drift.

well i got the impression from teejay that i can come across as supercilious; that i don't think i have any faults.

so for the sake of posterity, i am herewithin listing all of my faults (that i know about, lol).i frequently don't explain my thoughts thoroughly; i'm in a rush and just try to write down what i'm thinking at the moment.

this leads to unclear reasoning when others read my words; on more than one occasion, i'll admit.i'm too quick with the sarcasm.

my parents just stopped by to invite my to the memorial.

well, i haven't talk to my father since i got df'd 2 years ago and i haven't spoken to my mother in 8 months.

I am so sorry. But all I know is that these so called loving people have a lot to answer for.

I have been shunned now for a month (it feels like longer) and Mr NW even longer by his JW family.

When you think that you are so close to your family and that nothing will ever come between you, and then WHAM, you dare to go against the org. Well all that went before stands for nought.

It is disheartening to say the least, but if that is the way that our families want to act then let them. Lemmins over a cliff.

Well we met with Mum and we had a lovely time.

What a lovely lady Mum is though. (she is a real Mum and so cuddly). It was a real joy to meet her. It was good to put a face to the name and voice.

Mr Nightwarrior had to finally call an end to the proceedings at around 3 pm, because our two younger children were not feeling too good today.(spoil sport)

But even then, it took a awhile before we parted. More photos were taken. Oh and by the way, Mum enjoyed her fish and chips. (real pub food).

I only wish that we had met sooner, but hey she has been a real tourist, so she knows more about London than we do.

But we had a great time, and it was sad to see her go, but we all left with lovely memories. Short and sweet. But it felt as if we had known each other a lifetime. NW and I feel that we have made a friend for life.

So anyone else jetting into London let us know.

Kicked out of JW site

what i did was tell my wifes story on the site, not only did they delete the post but also kicked me out.

At least your wife has confided in you, but remember the truth as you& your wife see ,the hurt the pain wasnot welcome ,as the persons whom set the site up are not really free to express themselves, they reason that TRUTH or feelings of the individuals,must never be shown or displayed, that the collective must be protected lets give eveyone a seemingly spiritual paradise ,with no pain no hurt no abuse frigin idiots ,if you cant vent your hurt then you cant reach that healing stage,therfore what is the point of hidding all that pain & misery,CLOSE THE SITE DOWN.

Take your farther in law to court shop the prick ,inform on him call the police have the rat arrested.
