the elder leading the study stated that he believed the number 7 was of such vital importance, that when the great crowd number 7,000,000 and the remnant 7000 the end will come.

HI MYSTER The facts are that he tried to get reinstated ,back into the organization that eventusly causes so many heartbreaks and so so much hate and hostility to members ,take satisfaction in the fact that he tried to come back to you ,but the local elders had a vendetta against him ,once a peron is repentant to god , not to man then he may apply for reinstatment,but someone somewhere stopped him being reinstated,as you say he loved you and due to circumstances he had to move onto another life with someone else,you must be happy for him and the fact that he had children with someone else ,if only you were stronger in yourself when you saw him at the gathering ,but you had to follow enpty rules and false reasonings from the organization,because you wouldnot speak to him in front of others he would understand the whys and wherfores ,he knew within himself he loved you and you him ,THIS SHUNNINGAs practised by all j.ws causes so much pain and heartache to most concerned but as you now know SHUNNING is not scriptual it is a man made requirment , You know need to take stock of your life and enjoy it with your husband the past is past,move on and allow your old thoughts to remain private but dont blame your new husband for past events ,your old love would want you to be happy ,NO he is not in hell,as being free opens your mind to the love of god,i will post another time how and why shunning is wrong but many on the board have had there eyes open to freedom , shunning is just one part of freedom to receive gods love, he wasnot punished by god for his former deeds ,as some may want you to think,move on with your life and move out of the organization ,by posting more on this board as jehovah god loves us all,by the way,(IN THE LAST DAYS A PEOPLE WILL BEAR MY NAME)THEY WILL SAY BUT LORD DID WE NOT PROPHESY IN YOUR NAME, I WILL SAY TO THEM GET AWAY FROM ME YOU WORKERS OF LAWLESNESS, WHOM IS USING GODS NAME,????? How old was you when you learned to drive?
by Brummie ini've never passed my test, never needed to because i lived near the city and could get from a to b at the drop of a hat.
now living in a village it almost impossible to get anywhere so i am about to start taking lessons, at 39 i'm embarrassed and am dreading starting lessons.
what a wus huh.

Being seriouse you know you have a 2 part test ,ist on theory couple weeks latter the actual driving test, FIRSTLY STUDY THE NEW HIGHWAY CODE BOOKLET. Find a friend whom owns a car and then have them take you out for practice drives whenever possible ,have himdrive you around the area where you are taking your test which possibly will be the nearest town, ( THE REST IS UP TO YOU )GOOD LUCK

by nightwarrior ina man was studying with the witnesess whom happened to be a old friend of one of my sisters, whom used to lead a very imoral life.
this guy turned up at sigle womens houses quite often.
anyway this nice man started studying the scriptures,after 18 months or so his wife even attended the meetings.

she was quite happy and we began to discuss the days activities.
things were going great.

It is really hard. I know what I went through. Mr NW had stopped going to the meetings 6 yrs before I left, and the feeling that I was to go to the hall on my own was horrible. We had been such a family unit, we more or less took up a whole row, and then WHAM, I was sat on my own. Talk about Johnny No Mates!! I can remember begging NW to come to a couple of meetings with me, but he was adamant that he would not attend another meeting. His brother would call me and say that he had a chat with him, and given time he would be back at the meetings, so I held on, hoping, but the children could see things far more clearly than I ever could, and all four slowly but surely stopped going to the meetings. Our daughter would occasionally attend, but it was with a heavy heart, and I use to feel so guilty, about her attending, as her heart was not in it. The thing is, the reasons as to why NW stopped going in the first place, were all so relevant, and I understood completely, but I always hoped, but eventually I stopped asking, and then other issues came along, and then my joy was lost, it was horrible, I thought that the bottom had dropped out of my world. (after 40 yrs) But I eventually asked questions, reasoned with myself over many issues, and then I came to my own decision as to why I could no longer associate with JWs. NW never once stood in my way, and I thank him for that, because I did it on my own! He use to listen to me, and my frustrations, but he still allowed me to think for myself. He never once made me feel bad about my choice. The only thing he did, was say that the children could be independent in deciding as to whether or not to attend the mtgs. Now I am OUT, and I am so happy, and relaxed, but I had to do it on my own. The only seemingly down side to things is that my 'family' do not speak to me, and so called friends ignore me in the street, but so what, if that is what a true friend does - who needs them. Life goes on, and new friends come along, who prove to be 100% better than any JW could ever be - because true friends are not fickle. Mrs Nightwarrior
