It's amazing to me that this group spends the amount of time and research and study and all that shit just to promote their religion. Looking back, it's sad that I was a 100% believer at one point.

A spy's life is a lonely one

So I have been awake since about this time in 2013, so about 5 years. And the craziest thing about it is that now, no one, and I mean no one know's I am an apostate. Meaning, that I don't believe the JW minds set/beliefs at all, AND no one knows it. Not my wife of 26 years of marriage, nor my best friend of 36 years, nor anyone in the congregation, NO ONE.
One might say, what a wonder feat I have accomplished, and yes, it isn't easy. There are times I just want to scream, "it's f*cking not real!!" But I keep my cool, some how. I just wish I had someone to share my TRUE feelings with. But I have no one.
Thus, the reason for the title, "A spy's life is lonely one". But somehow it's all worth it. Some how. Maybe you can relate to this. If you can, then that means that I am not alone after all. For sure, there is a Vast Apostate Army out there and it is only growing weekly. What keeps my sanity is knowing that there is people out there like you who knows fact from fiction, who aren't afraid to face the facts and if the truth hurts, then by all means rip of the band-aid.
It's people like us who are willing to say, if this isn't the "truth" then show it to me, and if that means that no one has a monopoly on truth and truth might be a little allusive then so be it. At least I'm not believing a lie. Amen to that bro.

When you here from the ARC that there were 1006 instances of child abuse reported to them it sounds like a lot. But then when you see the spread sheet and hit the down arrow, and it keeps scrolling and scrolling, then it seems really creepy to think that there has been that much abuse in a country that has relatively few JW's.
If something like this ever hit the U.S., then it would really be a long list, thousands and thousands.

What to Do....Please Help. Awakening JW for a very long time

i have been having doubts for many years and as most jw's i have certainly not done myself a favor by suppressing all of my critical thinking.
i am married with 3 kids and my wife and i are inactive, but my wife has made it very clear in speech and action that she wants to go to all meetings, field service, and indoctrinate our kids.

Social systems mean too much to people. What about yourself? Where's your space? What about you? It shouldn't always be about them. Remember, if they come out saying apostate to you, that's their words, not yours.
In the end, we have to live with ourselves. Be kind to yourself.

I listened to this video and couldn't help think these guys were just like the Pharasees. They are splitting hairs for crying out loud. From the very beginning I never understood why there would be pioneers in the first place.
Shouldn't everyone just "go out in service" and let by gones be by gones. Just leave it alone. Why all the dick measuring.

I like how Dr Phil said that anyone who tells me to shun my wife and children are no friends of mine and that while standing in the KH, if my wife and children aren't welcome I would leave that faith.
I never thought of it that way, it makes some real sense.

Calendar of Jehovah's Witnesses

she is elderly so she doesn't do as much as she used to.
we went to the store and she purchased a calendar and on the way out she said that she finally got a calendar for this year.

So true. There used to be 24 magazines a year (2 awake & 2 WT per month). Now it's reduced down to six for the whole year. 3 & 3. And at the conventions any new releases are done via download only. That's it.
