could you give a link to the articles of the watchtower society, where they claim that information from the faithful and prudent slave comes from god and jesus christ.

and also, that magazines publish not people's thoughts, but god?.

JESUS assured us that after his death and resurrection, he would raise up a “faithful and discreet slave” that would serve as his channel of communication.(Matthew 24:45-47)” [...] “All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the “greatly diversified wisdom of God” can become known only through Jehovah’s channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave.—John 6:68.

Also, they governing body say that they are actually substituting for Christ. They changed their Bible and added the word "substituting" when it's not even in the Greek and NO other Bible uses such a word.

At 2 Corinthians 5:20, it says, “Therefore, we are ambassadors substituting for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us. As substitutes for Christ, we beg: “Become reconciled to God.”

“A few anointed members of “the Israel of God” still remain, and as Jesus’ brothers, they continue to act as “ambassadors substituting for Christ.” (2 Cor. 5:20) They have been appointed as a faithful and discreet slave class to care for and provide spiritual food for anointed ones and a growing crowd of Christians, who now include millions having the hope of living on earth forever.” (WT 1-15-10 p. 31 par. 14)

That faithful slave is the channel through which Jesus is feeding his true followers in this time of the end. It is vital that we recognize the faithful slave. Our spiritual health and our relationship with God depend on this channel.

Since Jehovah God and Jesus Christ completely trust the faithful and discreet slave, should we not do the same?

JW's really are NOT really neutral in politics - Proof

Notice that they say JW’s “have no interest in attempting to influence governmental authorities”.

Wasn’t the Governing Body endorsing a letter writing campaign “an attempt to influence governmental authorities”?

That was the very purpose for writing the letters; to attempt to influence the government of Russia not go through with the ban on JW’s.

They also said JW’s “do not involve themselves in...bringing about changes in governments”, and “We do not participate in any action to change governments”.

Wasn’t the letter writing campaign an action to try to change the government? That’s getting involved in “governmental affairs”.

So, according to their own literature, Jehovah’s Witnesses violate neutrality.

The Latest Thing Waking People Up...

since i woke up and left i've been contacted by others i knew from my youth who've also left the cult.

also people around the world on facebook adding me out of the blue because we have mutual friends and they occasionally ask me stuff or share their story.. what i've noticed in the vast majority of cases, is that people are waking up not because of the arc or doctrine but apathy.

active jws are becoming less and less interested, less and less bothered.

All of this is true from what I see as well. I'm particularly thinking about the ministry. There is absolutely NO urgency any more. I remember back in the 80's when I got baptized there was actually pep-in-the-step of people.

Now, it's LONG breaks and socializing at a local McDonalds or what have you.

i just want to say something which the vast majority of jw's who are active, fading , hard-core, doubting or what have you who don't know about malawi and mexico.

i'm just ''over generalizing'' by saying the above, about most jw's who don't know about the mexico/malawi scandal.

i strongly encourage any jw who is doubting or ''wondering'' about this ''organization'' to browse jwfacts.com.. just watched the john cedars rebuttal of the 2018 regional convention the sunday program.

The governing body is like a dirty old man who was molesting several children for several years and then when all those children turned him in at the same time with video proof on all cases, the old man turns and says, "It wasn't me. It aint me, it's my twin brother." And he doesn't sweat, his doesn't flinch, he doesn't turn red from embarrassment. He just stands there completely convinced he is telling the truth.

Then he turns to all the children and says, "Come here. Give me a hug".

The Watchtower is really like that. So yes, Malawi, no problem.

I remember going in the field ministry, I think it was for the second time and the elder I was with stuck his foot in the door and told the householder, "you're putting yourself in very precarious situation by doing that". That elder died about 2 years ago, and I'm sure the old man he was talking to is dead also.

Yikes.

Why are JDubs scared to death of apostate websites?

when i was an elder back in the 1970's i loved to debate and challenge ministers, preachers, and holy rollers.

now you can be a loyal jdub fully indoctrinated for 30 years but just take a peek at an apostate website and you are doomed.

yes, satan now has you by the gonads and all of the years of being at the meetings, all of the family worship nights, all of the conventions, and all of the personal study just go up in a cloud of smoke.

You have a really good point when you say that just one peek at an apostate website and POOF, there goes the JW's belief system, down the drain.

I remember on brother telling me one time that we should avoid anything or anyone even close to apostasy because he heard of an apostate who came to the meeting one time and whispered in someone's ear something and then that person never came back to the meetings again, ever.

I thought to myself when he said that to me, "well, then that person's faith wasn't worth anything if that's all it takes."

Really, hey, it's true. If you have the truth, then no matter who says to you "2+2=5 or the moon is made of cheese" type of comments, it don't matter. The TRUTH can handle scrutiny.

But that's where the rubber meets the road. THEY DON'T HAVE THE TRUTH.

End of story.

the sunday business post (ireland), sunday, july 22, 2018 - page 11. the jehovah’s witnesses have been urged to give the authorities potentially hundreds of documents related to child sex abuse in ireland over fears the organisation could be forced to delete them after a recent european court of justice ruling on the religion’s data-handling practices.. this month, the european court of justice ruled that the jehovah’s witnesses church was not exempt on any religious grounds from certain elements of the newly introduced gdpr data protection laws.. the jehovah's witnesses had argued that its practice of door-to-door preaching was covered by an exemption to the data protection law, but the court upheld an earlier decision by the finnish supreme court.. it now leaves the religion's irish and british headquarters - known at the watch tower - with a conundrum in relation to the potentially thousands of documents related to child abuse allegations in both countries, according to jason wynne, a former jehovah's witness who is now a campainger for awareness about instances of abuse within the religion.. wynne told the sunday business post that while the new law allows current and former jehovah's witnesses to request the deletion of files containing sensitive personal information, it could also "have a knock-on effect to their child abuse policies.".

Then the next door, same thing. Then at the next door the guy says, "No, never seen her. But you're doing a fine work and nice suit by the way..." and off you go to the next door for another irrelevant question to be asked to another person who simply replies, No, haven't seen him/her...and so on, and so on.

Today, I think the ministry of JW's is just like walking over to your neighbors house with a milk carton from 1980 and asking if you've seen this 7 year missing girl. The household is thinking things like, "What the hell are you doing showing me a milk carton of a missing girl from 38 fricken years ago. She's probably either dead or like 50 years old now!! What's the use?!"

And if you think about it, isn't their message pretty much the same, "What's the use?"

They preach, what, that the end will come when? How do you even explain it now a days? That the end will come in "an-overlapping-generation from now? How do you even begin to explain that to the guy across the street? He'd be like, um, well, a generation to me is like when I have kids, that's the next generation. What the hell are you talking about?"

The urgency is completely gone. Completely. Back in the 80's and early 90's when Witnesses went to the door, they eagerly and excitedly showed people at the door the quote from Matthew, "this generation will by no means pass away..." from 1914 onward, that generation is like almost completely over, so NOW is the time... and many householders would get the point.

But now???? Where's the drive? Hey, folks, it's gone.

Just think...remember the milk cartons from the 1980's with the missing children? Well, they are now in a landfill covered by about 50 feet or so of other landfill material. Many decades of daily life heaped upon it.

Everybody, keep your chin up. One day, the JW religion will be just like that 1980's milk carton.

ToesUp, I couldn't agree more. Just think about the leaked videos showing how unable they have been to be a good steward with the congregants money. And even if you never saw any of the leaked videos, like a regular JW, if they have any memory that just a couple of years ago they said they needed to build 300 KH per year every year for 5 years. Now all of the sudden, "we don't need to build any" and "we will just make best use of available funds"

Well, very good. Good for you, that's the way it should be. But, wait....that's the way it SHOULD HAVE BEEN FROM THE FRICKEN START!!!

It shouldn't take you 2-3 years to figure this out. On one of the latest Mike & Kim videos, the leak video said that the GB didn't even know how many KH there were in the U.S. Hello!!! Finance 101. Know your inventory!

But the good ole GB didn't even know the 101. So sad for them. There ARE JW's who have noticed this. There are, they are not many, there are some. And the more time that goes by and more blunder, you can bet, the chink in the armor is moving along quite nicely.
