What constitutes 'porn' in this video? Hard porn or soft porn? What about browsing through a lingerie catalog? What about having 'dirty' thoughts about that new receptionist at work or the elders wife? What about masturbation? Normally goes hand-in-hand (pardon the pun) with porn. So is it OK not to have watched porn in the last year but have buffed the bishop daily?

Its disturbing. A child who is baptized can be easily manipulated by a sexual predator in a position of authority in the congregation. Imagine an elder abusing a child and telling him or her that if this ever gets out the child will be disfellowshiped, thrown out of their family home, will never see mummy or daddy again and die at Armageddon.

Faced with the reality of mortality

most of us were raised to firmly believe we would never get old or die... so here we are now having to face the reality that are getting older... we are going to die.. sometimes it really pisses me off that we were never helped to comprehend this most basic of facts.
we were given a utopian dream as a "fact", and hence never taught how to face our inevitable futures.... thoughts?.

It's possible science may find an answer one day. Perhaps regenerating cells or even having your clone in a clone bank where your memories can be downloaded and your are 'resurrected'. However it will not happen in our lifetimes and may not happen at all if mankind destroys itself.

I wonder if their are any parents of theses children on here now .May 22 1994
by smiddy3 ini know it could be a sensitive subject however we were all once firm believers and could have very well let one of our loved ones die due to what we once believed.. and not to be judgemental on what we would have done or did do in the past ,i sometime wonder if any of the parents or even one parent of the children of the may 22nd 1994 magazine of "youths who put god first " have now regretted their decision to let their children make this decision on their own.. after all these years i find it hard to believe that not one of them have no regrets to what happened to their child.. i can also accept that it would be extremely hard to admit that you allowed your child to make a decision to die on a belief you instilled in them that you no longer now believe in.
i think that would be very hard to live with and come to terms with.. if any of you are here my heart goes out to you because you have gone through hell and my thoughts/vibes are with you..

Yes I find the finely tuned universe factoid to be hilarious. The same people fail to grasp the fact the finely tuned earth will one day be swallowed up by the finely tuned Sun when it becomes a finely tuned red giant.
