do you ever wonder if the watchtower writers actually read the context of their key scriptures?.

they seem intent on perpetuating the idea that the jewish law was divine - perfect.. paragraph two asks the question "what would prompt an israelite slave to forfeit his opportunity.

to be free?".

grandma mary lou is home from rehab and doing pretty good.

she wanted me to give all her well-wishers a big hug and thank you.. her granddaughter may or may not have seen the video yet.

i decided not to give a dvd copy to her fellow employees...for now.

a loved one of mine who is now "out" mentally (and waiting patiently on other family members so they can get "out" physically too) pointed this change out to me after an assembly day just recently.

not being one of the chosen few who carry around the new silver spoon - they noticed the difference in their old bible as the speaker was reading from the new one.. .

nwt: but a physical man does not recieve the things of the spirit of god (1 cor 2 v 14).

Yeah datadog you stripped your kids self esteem with that comment. I know I have have said things that are hurtful myself.

I always TRY to look at parenting as trying to always carry my boys on my shoulders. Metaphorically speaking of course. I want to lift them up so that they become more than I am.

i always accepted that babylon was simply a pile of ruins miles from anything and inhabited only by goats.

this is one of the proofs that witnesses use for bible accuracy and prophecy.. if you are interested check out ancient babylon on google maps.

it is about 3 miles from the city of hillah which is 380,000+ people.

If you are interested check out ancient babylon on google maps. It is about 3 miles from the city of Hillah which is 380,000+ people. Babylon is now a national heritage site. Of course no one would build on top of the ruins for the same reason that they won't build a shopping mall at Machu Picchu.

Grr. This makes me so angry that I ever believed any of this crap.

I love how they painted over "read god's word every day" three months ago, while getting ready to hang these giant banners directing people to the org.

jw.org is nothing but a corporate site. check out Mormon.org and see the similarities.

i suppose part of the fascination i have with this board is, the exotic nature of those making up the member population.

i say exotic because, as you yourselves will agree with, folks such as yourselves don't hang around the christian congregation for long upon making the decision that truth is not for you.

(rom 1:25) this "fading" thing spoken of here likely plays a role into why christians such as me find the average ex-jw to be a bit fascinating.
