This is my first post here in a while as Im on a public internet terminal, I have webtv at the house however webtv isnt compatible with this board. With that said, I wont be able to post back here but every few days. In answer to this question, I think the biggest thing I lost out on was having ambition and personal goals during my teenage years. I cant go back and change things, I wish I could. I can only go forward. What bothers me the most is not having a normal father. Most fathers would be proud and look forward to their sons playing little league and other school sports, Of course he would have no part of that, therefore I didnt grow up playing in sports or school activities. It really is sad and something that will trouble me until the day I die. We definitely were robbed of Time growing up, everything seemed so rushed due to the fact that armageddon was coming. I wasted many opportunities growing up do the lack of life planning. Im 33 years old now and I wish I could have joined the military when I was younger and saw the world. Yes I do have alot of issues concerning the WT religion. I will make it my goal to expose the WT society to any and everyone I come in contact with for the remainder of my days of my life

I dont know about everyone else here, but during the 8 years of clinton, i never once got a decent tax refund, and a couple times i owed, but last year we got an additional $600 plus the biggest refund we've ever had. My wife and i both are lower middle class and definitely not "haves", so for the biggest tax refund we've ever seen i would live to say "thank you Mr President"

Weird and unusual Kingdom Halls
by Junction-Guy indoes anyone here have any experiences with any unusual kingdom halls, such as architecture, location and furnishings.
in eaton ohio there was a small kingdom hall that sat next to the railroad tracks and everytime the train went by it shook the building.
in salyersville ky there was a small kingdom hall in a storefront buliding, no sound system and they had a kerosene heater at the back of the hall.

In Eaton Ohio there was a small kingdom hall that sat next to the railroad tracks and everytime the train went by it shook the building
In salyersville Ky there was a small kingdom hall in a storefront buliding, no sound system and they had a kerosene heater at the back of the hall
In Allen Ky you used to have to go out the front door around the side and down into the basement to go to the restroom
I believe the Rush Ky congregation was in a doublewide trailer and no sound system
Near Dayton Ohio I believe it was Huber Heights there was a kingdom hall that set right next to a church, in fact their parking lots were side by side, i thought that was a weird arrangement, i wonder if that hall is still there
There is a congregation in Anna Illinois where they never stood up for the songs, and they took a 10 minute intermission in between the talk and WT study, i was talking with a guy on here who used to attend that cong and he said theyve changed that now
well does anybody else have any unusual kingdom halls to tell about?

Hi Dottie, sorry i didnt reply back sooner, but ive been kinda sick these past few days and slept alot. My wife and I lived in pigeon forge for 4 1/2 years before moving to knoxville. I never once drove by the kingdom hall the whole time i lived there. twice while we lived there JW's called on our door, but they always caught me when i just woke up, so i politely turned them away. had they called on me during the afternoon i probably would have had a good discussion with them. We got tired of all that traffic in pigeon forge so we decided to move to knoxville, and we've been here nearly 2 years. Its been nice talking with you and maybe we will talk more down the line as i post more things to the board

I was raised a witness, and am 32 years old. i attended meetings up until i was 22, but i dont ever remember any international conventions, except for the 1950's and 60's. When did they start having international conventions again?
