Well I will have to recheck the dates for Winston-Salem, im sure its about as far from me as Roanoke and Columbia. It all hangs on whether or not I go to Texas the 3rd week in July, because if I dont, then I will definitely picket Johnson City TN.

by Junction-Guy inthis post is directed towards the"real" xjw apostates" so you jw friendly ones please spare me your philosophical views on picketing etc etc etc.

Going to a District Convention Undercover, suggestions?
by frankiespeakin ini'm still undesided but leaning towards going to a few dcs under the cover of a worldly person(i'm really a df'd evil apostate .
i'm a worldy person that is in love with a jw sister who i work with, we have dated and even have been intimate(that outa perk up the ears of any hatchet man elder), and now she refuses to see me any more unless i become a jw, she encouraged me to go to this convention, but is afraid to be seen with me because she doesn't want people in her congregation to know she has a boy friend.
i think that kind of story would grab the interest of many sisters or brother and allow me to ask some hard questions about the organization and even allow me to bring up some things i found on the internet about dates and such and not be viewed as an apostate.

Perhaps someone could acquire a press badge. That would be cool and we could interview all the big shots at the convention, im sure they will jump hand over fist at the opportunity to leave a good witness for the press-LOL

A question for Evil Force
by Junction-Guy ini have read in several of your posts that you are a doctor, what is your line of practice?
if you would share that with us here that would be cool.
also how often has the blood transfusion issue come up in your practice.

Well Six, I post my pic but I havent openly revealed my name on the board. Its possible that since EvilForce left the JW's that few people would recognize his face anyway, but if he revealed his name that someone could find it.
I guess people have different anonymity needs.
I have posted my 1st name, location, and my pic and the only people in this world who could put all 3 together and discover who I am is probably a JW family member, and they definitely wouldnt be on these boards in the 1st place, So I can see how Evilforce would want partial anonymity but still show his face. A face means nothing, but a name can be run through a computer.

Now back to the question. Who here on the board plans to picket a convention this year, and what location?
I honestly want to picket this summer, but im having trouble with the locations and the timing of my next vacation. Is there any groups of people meeting up at conventions? I could always reschedule my vacation if there were a major picketing planned. Duluth GA, Amarillo TX, Roanoke VA, Columbia SC, and Winston Salem are some possibilities. I had finally made up my mind to picket the Johnson City convention, and then I realized the dates coincided with my upcoming trip to Texas.
The WT Society picks the craziest locations for conventions, they have left off so many major cities. Gone are the days of Louisville Ky, Knoxville Tn, Columbus Oh, Indianapolis IN, and Cincinnati Oh.
I would give anything if they would hold a convention here in Knoxville.

love2bworldly, that is a great idea, and sure to keep them busy trying to spot the Apostate. I must say I have never seen JW's set up a table at a mall or anywhere else for that matter, just the regular run of the mill door to door and occasionally street corners, but if I ever do encounter them-then let the fun begin-LOL

By the way Evilforce, thanks for sharing this with us. I understand about privacy and all, and I too still have alot of family that are JW's.
I would just like to commend you for being able to leave the JW religion with your sanity still intact, plus being successful in your career. Its not everyday that we have an XJW become a physician. My sincerest congratulations to you, and may your career continue to flourish.

Well I've thought about some undercover work at the convention this year, and it sounds like fun. I could do all kinds of things. So I guess its a toss up between picketing and undercover work-LOL

Visiting graves . . . did you do it?
by garybuss intoday we had a nice road trip and visited two cemeteries where grandparents and aunts and uncles are buried.
we usually make the yearly trek on memorial weekend but this year we helped my son move and were out of town.
it's an upbeat day.
-
Junction-Guy
In Kentucky once a year families would get together at the local cemetaries for a "memorial meeting" This would consist of all day preaching and dinner on the grounds, I have been to one of those and really enjoyed it.
As for the JW's, it varied some visited graves and some didnt. We did occasionally, but then again most of my family was still alive up until my early 20's
