You can teach the practical stuff, while foregoing the impractical, unproven, and controversial stuff.
as long as they don't teach that we evolve, then I am Ok with it. Other than that it just isn't practical.

Well as long as you don't teach evolution to be the beginning, then I don't see anything wrong with teaching how bacteria mutate. If that can save lives, then sure, that's fine.

If I could travel back 1 billion years in a time machine, then I may come to the conclusion that I was wrong.
I don't see any practical use for teaching evolution, especially the early stages of it.
I as an XJW have had too many real world financial problems to even care if evolution is correct, who really gives a flip?, except those that have an agenda of hate against christianity.
Maybe meeting some real world atheists instead of copycat XJW atheists would do some good, who knows? I have only known 2 atheists in real life, and neither were XJW's, they were decent enough people in their own right, and they didn't feel the need to convert everyone to Atheism, maybe they are the true atheists at heart? -

The point has been made that Evolution and Atheism are 2 totally unrelated topics, and in the real world, that may be the case with certain groups of people, but on XJW boards it seems that Atheism and Evolution can't be separated. This no doubt has to do with all the brainwashing by the JW cult to create an aversion to all things religious (JW's excluded of course).
I believe in Creation, not Evolution. If someone hands me a square peg and claims it is round, I would deny it to no end, despite what so called "educated" people would claim.
That being said, if by some chance that evolution were true, it wouldn't make a difference to me as an XJW. I have been through alot in my life, suffered alot of heartache, alot of disappointments. Some monkkey or fish crawling out of the sea billions of years ago wouldnt mean a damn thing to me.
Also if evolution were true, then we wouldn't have to live "green". We could pollute the earth to no end, humans would die out, then the evolutionary process would begin all over again, and a billion years in the future people once again would be debating the existence of God.
I believe in Creation, and see no tangible benefit to believe otherwise, therefore the case is closed for me. -

Well since perhaps the only Atheists I know are XJW's, then I reserve the right to make my claim. Until I meet other Atheists who go against the mold that has been exhibited in the XJW world, then maybe my tune will change.
