I meant to say that she was having an affair with a married man after we broke up, as far as I know she wasn't cheating with anyone while we were dating.
And for Serena, thanks for the update. Now that Mountain Days is cancelled, I can go on with other plans. August will be a busy month for me.

Scott77, to answer your question, I really wasn't too interested in her from the get go, but on the insistance of a friend I tried to give it a shot. I told her upfront I was looking to take things slow, but she was too head over heels too quickly.
Her true likes and dislikes probably didn't match mine nearly as much as she claimed. She was just too agreeable. She was like a parrot for everything I said. I respect a woman who has her own beliefs and is not ashamed of them, but she was willing to compromise her beliefs and her tastes to match mine, and that was a turnoff for me.
The sad part is I really did enjoy hanging out with her at first, but after that it became a chore. I started purposefully missing her phone calls, and I would go a whole week without even calling her.
The only reason it took me so long to break up with her was I was trying to figure out a way to break it off without her having a nervous breakdown.
She was barely 6 months divorced, and was looking for the first man to marry. I told her upfront that I was just getting out of a bad marriage and I was wanting to take things slow. I wasn't nearly in a hurry to remarry as she was, and therein was the problem.
Since we broke up, I found out through the grapevine, that she was having an affair with 2 different married men, one before we met, and one after we met. The funny thing is 6 weeks after we broke up she was already engaged to the first guy that came along.
I am so thankful I got out of that mess when I did. -

Thanks you all, good to see you again.
And Mouthy, it is good to see you are alive and well too. No, I won't be going to Blue Mountain this year, as my vacation time is already planned out for the remainder of the year. I am going on vacation to Ohio and Michigan for 2 weeks starting on the 3rd of July. Then in August I will take another vacation to Ohio with my friend and his family to Kings Island. Then I also plan on going back to Myrtle Beach in September by myself. Then In October, my friend has invited me to go to Orlando with him for a week. So my schedule is booked solid this year. Maybe next year I can make it to Pennsylvania.
I will probably check in every now and then here, but I don't seem to understand the layoyut here as well as I did the old JWD, so I won't be a regular anymore.
But it is good to see you all are fine. -

I still do alot of traveling, but mostly to Ky and Ohio, however I have been visiting Nashville alot, and I just got back home 2 weeks ago from a trip to Myrtle Beach. I went down there for a wedding of a friend at work, and had a great time playing in the sand and sun, although one of my friends complained so much it almost ruined the trip.
One more positive piece of news, I went on a diet last year and I have lost 45 pounds, I am now wearing pant sizes that I havent worn in 10 years. All of my fami
ly is still alive and doing well. -

Well, it has been a long time since I have visited here, and an even longer time since I have posted anything.
Alot has happened since I last posted. Amanda and I were finally divorced last September after 3 years of separation. Amanda has since remarried and I am hoping she is enjoying her new marriage. I dated a girl from Kentucky last year for almost a whole year. I was not happy with her from the beginning, even though she was a nice girl. She was just too clingy and too agreeable. Everything I liked, she liked, everything I hated, she hated. She even started to switch her politics to match mine, and that was only on the 2nd date.
I broke up with her this past February, and it really broke her heart. I simply could not go on pretending I liked her. She talked quite a bit, and I didn't even enjoy talking with her on the phone. She got to be really annoying, so finally I decided to break it off with her before Valentines day. She was a nice girl to a point, she was just too smothering, and too needy.
I am pretty much happy being single, and don't feel the need to have a girlfriend or a wife. Friends are OK though, which brings me to my good news. I have made a really good friend at work, he and I have become really close, and we get along just perfect as friends. He is a Christian man and is about 3 years older than me, although he looks my age or even younger. We are like best buds, and it is really cool. This has been a long time in the waiting. He is married with 2 children, and he has invited me to tag along on a couple of vacations with him. We have been visiting Dollywood lately, and since neither his kids, nor his wife rides the roller coasters, we have been riding with each other. Everything is going great, and I feel so much younger and more vibrant. I feel like God is once again blessing me with the peace and contentment I had when I lived in Kentucky. I thank God for the blessing of friendship he has provided me.
Nothing else to report on. I just thought I would let some of you know what happened to me. I am not sure when I will be back on here posting, so I thought I would give you all an update.

Why do we still refer to it as the "truth"?
by Newborn ingives me shivers.
let's just call it for what it is: a big damnlie!!!!!.
any other good names?
-
Junction-Guy
That is what I call it "The Lie", but occasionally I still use that term, but I put it in parenthesis, I definitely don't believe it is the truth at all.

I know, I just have a hard time understanding you sometimes. I can fully understand why you don't like the JW relgion, but I can't see why you would hate a religion/religions that have done nothing bad against you personally, especially one that is the predominant one in our country.
It just bothers me to see someone so mad at the world, with no hope in sight of ever healing. I know I have been somewhat that way in the past, but at least I found somehwere I can find peace and happiness. It seems to me your only happiness is bashing Christianity and Republicans. To me that is not much different than what I was raised under. -

I worked with several chinese in the restaurants and they used the term "Oriental". I think you are right, it is a bunch of liberal PC'ers who are offended more than the Orientals/Asians.
