Eurozone crisis- the jw's are crowing about it like mad!
by highdose inover the past few weeks i've been told that the eurozone will go into melt down and that this will be the start of armargeddon because the goverments will then turn on religon to get their money instead.. i have been told that the greek pm almost rejecting the greek bailout plan would lead to armargeddon.
of course much to the jw's disapointment the greek pm resigned and the greeks did accept the bail out.
thus saving the greek banks from collapse and thus the rest of the european banks.. i have been told that italys debt will mean they will plunder the vatican for its wealth!

May I suggest you read what the Watchtower had predicted during other world emergencies.
http://www.bibletopics.com/biblestudy/88c.htm
Here is an extensive list of their predictions:

Note that there are six pages of predictions (about 300) all of which failed.

Please dont be guilty of committing the sins you have indicted the WatchTower of
by mankkeli inplease dont be guilty of the sins you have indicted the wt of commiting.
something is common to all on this discussion board, we are quick at castigating the watchtower.
although, i understand your reasons for doing so, but i will warn you not to be guilt of the same offense the wt had committed.

There's an adolescent quality about Mankkeli - as if he is a teenager/late adolescent trying to sound "grown up". The internet is a rabbit warren for great pretenders.
I've been thinking the same thing:
Somewhere between thirteen and sixteen.................perhaps seventeen.

Mr Fenech, who said he will address the federal Senate today, was invited to deliver the keynote presentation at a conference entitled "Cults in Australia: Facing the Realities" co-hosted by Liberal senator Sue Boyce and independent senator Nick Xenophon.
Speakers also include 2010 Australian of the Year, Professor Patrick McGorry, and Tom Sackville, president of the European Federation of Centres of Research and Information on Sects or Cults.
Mr Xenophon said it was vital that Australia look at laws similar to those of France that provide protection for victims of mental manipulation.
“Right now some cults and groups here in Australia are getting away with unacceptable conduct and this is partly because our laws have failed to recognise the way people are controlled and coerced," he said.
That is the important part, (I think).
He will bring a realistic view of Jehovah's Witnesses to the conference on cults.

Comments from a real JW about the killing of apostates watchtower. You will be shocked..
by Hairyhegoat inthis is a very good find from another jw only web site i have access to... hey i just found this on a link of my mom's that she is "friends" with, yes, still a jw...anyway, i had to copy/paste it so you could all see, thought it was a bit hilarious to see how they blatantly speak of keeping info from "outsiders.
" i did not copy the name of the person since that is not my point and i am not that disrespectful, but i did copy their comment...they were discussing the wt about killing all apostates and someone that was studying asked a question as to whether they all thought that was right or not, so here it is..............."james... although its a great article and very encouraging, as apostates do deserve to be murdered, it may not be such a good idea to reveal it our friend zeek at this moment.
he may find it a tad over the top.

Its best to wait until he is fully indoctrinated before revealing our true teachings.
That is just something a Witness would not say. Neither the Watchtower or JW's ever use the word indoctrinated when referring to their own teaching (brainwashing) methods.
I'm with Nugget on this. Apostate infiltrating the system!

WT Flip-Flops on Jesus Inspection Was it in 1918 or 1919?... Did the WT PASS or FAIL?
by Alfred inthis is utterly ridiculous.... .
the more i research this particular subject, the more flip-flops i uncover.
it seems the fds cant even make up their minds regarding what happened in 1918 (or should i say 1919?).

Alfred said ". but then I realized that, at this stage in her life, it would be cruel of me to persist and possibly shatter her dreams which would destroy her to the core... so I am completely silent with her on where I stand and we have a mutual understanding that we not discuss religous matters any more... I think it's for the best..."
Alfred, you are absolutely right..............and kind................and thoughtful.
"Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all they have." -- H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
I have to add that for young people it is much easier, but for older ones it is very difficult to regroup, go out and make new friends and start, in old age, to gather a new support group whom you understand and who understand and care for you.

The Impact of Leaving

Apart from individual personalities, I think time spent in, whether or not one is a"born in", and how old one is when leaving all have a bearing on how long it takes to become mentally and emotionally free.
Particularly "how old one is when leaving".
