  i received my copy of barbara andersons cd paedophilia in an american religion a month or two ago, and i have been reading through it since.. what follows, although i have called this a review, is in no sense a scholarly consideration of the legal merits of the cases described, a task for which i am wholly unqualified.

  these are, rather, my subjective reflections on the material presented, the impressions i gathered while reading the legal filings, my untrained, common-man appraisal of the cases laid out in those documents.

  ill also admit to being swayed by tone of voice adopted, and to using my own common-sense yardstick in determining the reasonableness of the statements made, the responses given and the arguments put forward.

  i have been reading with interest the news of the next change in the generation teaching.

  does anyone have any substantive proof that this change will be made?

  it could be a big con to get us all excited and tell others about it and reveal that we are, wait for it, apostate!!

  Well that same source (who was at the AGM) confirmed the much talked about "New light on the generation" was

  part of the AGM program.

  I have actually read that whole thread, and it was, in fact, the reason for my question.

  Sadly I'm a bit of a retard and still don't completely understand. I was hoping someone,

  more endowed intellectually than I, would explain it to me.

  Or do you mean the idea (printed this year) that the anointing of Christ's brothers no longer necessarily stopped in 1935?

  Actually I was referring to the new "light" some of the posters spoke about, that emanated from the AGM last weekend.

  i have been approved to write the cover story for local newspaper about jehovah's witnesses.

  Shunning and the dreadful affects it has on families and individuals. The suicides that it leads to, the misery and depression often inflicted upon people who merely disagree with doctrine that they once accepted.

  Few people understand that the gentle, smiling JW's who come to their door will shun their grandchildren for decades if they are told to by the Watchtower.

  Get some real expereinces from this Board with individuals who will divulge their names. Good reportage starts with unimpeachable fact.

  Must agree with HS. Also I keep on thinking,the things which impressed nearly all ex-Witnesses about Ray Franz's books were the lack of anger and bitterness. He just stated the facts.

  The facts most humans can relate to are those of family loss. WT hierarchy undoubtedly break up families due to their inhumane disfellowshipping policy. How to put that across without bitterness or anger needs a writer of your calibre.

  Whatever you do I am sure will be great. We are all looking forward to your literary efforts on behalf of the poor innocents.
