Had a wicked fall this morning

omg i got up and tripped over some cases i had on the floor.

i landed on my forehead, left knee and left fist.. my glasses moved up and dug into my forehead so i have some pretty interesting marks there.. i have a doctor who lives two doors down from me and he came over and checked me out.. i didn't lose consciousness or have other signs of concussion.

no broken bones.. but i am sore all over.. my doctor friend said if i have any problems to call him.

Sorry Lady Lee. That sort of thing really shakes you up, even if it doesnt draw blood.

Try not to do it again though....................you might bleed and need a blood translation.

Things That Matter and Things That Don't

being a jehovah's witness at any time and at any level is a major head f*ck.

the reason is that it obscures what is important and causes you to focus on what doesn't matter.. i've moved on from my jw experience.

it's a shame that i found myself a born in, taught to focus on things that don't matter.

Why do some expect the WTS to one day end? It's simply not going to happen folks........

in my anger as an ex witness about 4 years ago i really wished that this would happen.

although the glaring errors, hypocrisy & downright badness of the wts was finally evident to me personally, others whom i had expeced to eventually leave the org have not.. i think it dawned on me around 1 or 2 years ago that my wife will never leave the witnesses.

having presented in both heated & reasonable debate every kind of logical argument against the religions teachings the conversations would get to the point where she would simply refuse to answer my questions.

Actually the Catholic church is a brilliant example.

It has long been acknowledged as one of the most corrupt organizations on earth, for three hundred years it harrassed, tortured and killed any who stood up to it. They kept on growing.

Now we have this pope whom it has been proved, protected pedophiles, and there is no mass exodus.

Witnesses have not committed a fraction of the atrocities of the Catholic church, so why would you expect their demise?

pick up a watchtower publication and thumb through it.

in the article a scientist frantisek vyskocil being interview by awake on how he came to his belief in god and became a jw.

Where I grew up, in a metropolitan area, I'd say at least 50% of witnesses went to college and got good degrees including many sons/daughters of elders.

I find that very, very, very difficult to believe.

Perhaps you could give us the name of that city of great enlightnment.

Is that worse than the Pope who was a practicing Catholic and a nazi at the same time.

The pope has never denied being a nazi.

What a hypocrite.

So how is that worse than anything the GB has done?

the pope is in britain, speaking against atheist extremism.. the leader of the roman catholic church concluded a speech, made before the queen and assembled dignitaries at the palace of holyroodhouse in edinburgh, with the argument that the nazi desire to eradicate god had led to the holocaust and a plea for 21st-century britain to respect its christian foundations.

...benedict was more explicit in his condemnation of militant atheism, noting that britain had fought the atheistic evil embodied by adolf hitler..
