SoL, you ARE disfellowshiped. Only the announcement is being held in abeyance by the appeal committee. If the appeal committee does not agree with the original committee's decision to disfellowship you tonight, the appeal committee may schedule yet another meeting to keep trying to intimidate you into admitting to something concrete. This will be your third meeting with appeal committee. The appeal committee is deliberately dragging this out to call your bluff. Appeal committees are trained to do this. There is a chance that the discipline may be reduced to public reproof. But since you have been disfellowshiped once before, I doubt it.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES TO USE BULLHORNS ON PEOPLE THAT DON'T ANSWER THEIR DOORS Monday April 24, 2006
By DAVID TOLSEY
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Weary from pounding the pavement for hours a day only to have homeowners shut the door in their faces or not answer it all, Jehovah's Witnesses will start toting bullhorns to ensure their message is heard. Kingdom Halls across the U.S. rejoiced at the directive issued by leading Witness elders last week.
"We look at the bullhorns as an emergency tool needed to spread the word of the Lord," said 18-year-old Ronald Plimpton. "Maybe the residents didn't hear the door knock because they were in the bathroom or working in the basement."
Several sociologists fear these extreme actions by the Jehovah's Witnesses may prompt other institutions and groups to resort to similar methods. "We may see the Britannica salesman or Avon lady utilizing a handheld microphone in the near future," says Dr. Clarence Simolt.
"I don't plan to use them," said door-to-door salesman Mickey Jones. "When you have something people want, there's no need for noise.
Jones sells earplugs.

Question about the Anointed
by Zico ini have just joined this site after having been visiting as a guest for a few months.
i am searching for answers so please be patient with me.
a friend of mine in the congregation has directed me to this site as he has been having doubts about the organization, though he said he never posts on it.

He only became an anointed one a few years ago when an older anointed one in a nearby Congregation became unfaithful.
Zico, the WT teaches that if an annoited JW were to become unfaithful in some way and even be disfellowshiped, they may not lose their heavenly calling, because if repentant, they can be forgiven and reinstated into the JW congregation and still be anointed. That information can be found in the 1976 Watchtower, page 158.
In what way was this older anointed person in a nearby congregation "unfaithful"?
Were you that unfaithful anointed person?

The WT will tell you that they can prove 607, especially if there is a reward for proving 607. Someone should send a copy of that website to the WT writing staff.

If those elders do not want their identity announced to the world, maybe they should not publicly annouce SoL's name from the platform.

i've picked up some interesting bits of information from listening to the audio files and i feel i might know the reason they want to meet with me.

There is no Fifth Amendment right with WT judicial committees. If you choose not to answer their questions, it can be considered the same as deliberate failure to appear and a flagrant disregard for theocratic order. The appeal committee will then approve the public announcement of the original committee's decision to disfellowship you.
The elders have already informed you that there is no need for witnesses at this second meeting with the appeal committee. They will probably not allow your legal representation into the room. So you will either meet with the elders alone or not meet with them. If you choose not meet with them, that is a deliberate failure to appear. If you choose to meet with them, be prepared for the questions you may not want to answer.
The WT has the judicial committee arrangement designed to their advantage. Unless the elders make a serious error in judgment, the accused will usually lose.

In the appeal committee recording the elders told you that they were holding the matter in "abeyance" which means that they are waiting for something specific, either more evidence or direction from the C.O. or WT to seal your fate. If you were winking and blowing kisses at the elders of your original judicial committee while they sat there listening to your appeal hearing, then you are probably correct in assuming that the original committee elders are pushing hard for disfellowshiping. I doubt the elders know about your recording the committee hearings and posting on information online, unless some prick has recently turned you in like they did to Richie. When you meet with the appeal committee again, they are probably going to avoid doctrinal questions and your mental health issues and move onto what your attitude is towards the WT organization asking such questions as this:
"Do you believe God is using Jehovah's Witnesses as his only spirit-directed organization on earth?"
"Do you identify yourself as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with the spirit-directed faithful and discreet slave class represented by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society?"
If you argue with those questions the appeal committee will agree with the original judicial committee and disfellowship you for apostasy, regardless of your mental health issues or desire to ask questions and learn.

Richie, was it a judicial committee? Did they give you any specific counsel? And did the elders tell you that they will no longer need any further meetings with you?
If that was everything, then it was easy compared to what many here have experienced with JW elders.

SoL,
I posted a question for you in the JWD Private Discussion group. It is about something said during your appeal hearing.
