"Between the Lines" of the Branch Visit
by TTATTelder ini am starting this thread to discuss the financial points i picked up during the branch visit.. firstly - as an elder we were told that all donations from the event - local and worldwide work were to be sent to the branch.
first of all - could the money-grab be any more obvious given these instructions?
is it even legal to take funds a person gave to a non-profit for one specific purpose (pay the light bill) to allocate them for another (www slush fund)?

1914 - 2014...... 100 Years of Kingdom Rule!
Disclaimer: Matthew 25:31 has not been fulfilled yet because Jesus has not yet sat down on his glorious throne.
He is only stnading right now. The sitting will occur during future Great Tribulation, when the full 144,001 are in heaven.
At that time the Kingdom Clock can be reset so the 1000 Year Reign of Kingdom Rule can begin, again.
Meanwhile, party like it's 2014, because we now been living under 100 Years of Kingdom Rule! We even have a website!
And a cartoon kid with a plane! And Roku! -

100 yrs + 1000 yrs = 1100 yrs of Kingdon Rule ?
by Smiles indoes anyone one else have a problem with the celebrating '100 years kingdom rule' (1914-2014).
while at the same time teaching that the kingdom will rule for 1000 years?
(rev 20:6).

Maybe that will be one of new WT revised songs: "Doesn't Matter - Eat Your Broccoli"

Can the JW flock not do the math? Or do they have their own explainations for that calculation? -

Celebrating 100 years of Armageddon NOT coming
by Smiles inwill they "celebrate" 120 yrs... 150 yrs... 200 yrs... ?.
when will it stop?.
the wt now has its organization actually celebrating.

YW, Clarity.
EverApostate, an invisible Armageddon... funny thing is that it is not a far-fetched possibility
within the WT org when considering how they interpret the "invisible parousia" of 1914,
the "invisible resurrection" of 1919, and the "invisible spiritual paradise" of today.
Finkelstein, with the internet and JW.org, the WT is gradually phasing out of "publishing"....
to become "virtual", which is a lot like "invisible"... -

It took 100 years to lead them to a 'snake oil' website.
What happens after the new website smell wears off?P.s. Website based publishing is less expensive than
paper based publishing. -

all the many years of their failed expectations.
Celebrating 100 years of Armageddon NOT coming...
It's like celebrating 100 years NOT winning the lottery. How can millions of people get so excited about that??

Misquote in the Creation Book
by ILoveTTATT inmy dad came into the jw's because someone studied the "creation" book with him.
it pains me deeply that he sent me an e-mail recently saying that to keep the peace with my mom, he will stop communicating with me as much as possible.
i should communicate with him only if i have an emergency.. it upsets me to no end, but i cannot do anything or much about it.

@ILoveTTATT:
Where is the misquote?
I'm looking at a hardcopy of ce-E page 15/16, while comparing that with page 81 of the magazine film.
Both appear to match. -

Could you get disfellowshipped for simply asking questions?
by LogCon inif so, what would be some examples?.
.
only questions that show a higher degree of thought and intelligence please..

Yes, a JW could be reproved or excommunicated for improper questionings, a.k.a. 'foolish questionings'.
2 Timothy 2:23
Titus 3:9It really depends on the circumstances, such as what was asked, how it was asked, who was asked,
and how elders interpret the content and manner of questioning. Questioning doctrine or authority
can get a JW into tribunal trouble, fast. -

"It amazes me how far off some of you wander in these discussions."
Joe: I competely agree with you. Posting Guidelines for this forum,

asking if anyone here is acquainted with your area of Arizona. Then,
rather than welcome you to the forum/productively discuss on-topic,
some of the winners here belittle your screename and question your
motives for using this website... and that's just plain rude. You will
see a lot of that here. Just remember who you're possibly dealing with,
