and the demonstration was benine, because this flaw could allow someone to forward the site to say porn sights.
i won't go into detail, but let's just say i could cause alot of havoc with it.

I saw you mention in another thread that BB is having a problem with delegating duties. If this is the case, and you think it is a problem. I would suggest that you support any efforts he makes towards trying to delegate duties. As an example, the hosting and development of his site. If he has announced that someone is in charge of the site, I would only go directly to that person and leave BB out of it completely. That person could report it to BB if he sees the need, and thus the chain of command develops. By going to both and getting upset because you do not see immediate change, is adding to the very problem you yourself noticed.
Personally, I think your motive was in the right place. I think online security is a huge issue in this day and age. At the same time, I could only sit back and imagine all that BB must handle on any given day and I would really think about how I could relieve some of that stress. One way to me, is reporting to the person in charge and just leaving BB out of it. If in time that person does not fix what you point out, and I stress in time, I would then address it to BB. You might also offer your services later, to replace the person he currently has assigned.
Hope this advice does not fall on deaf ears or turn into an insult that was not intended.

Just a simple question. Did BB or silentlambs know you were performing security test or ask you to do so? Reason I ask, is that I might be a little upset at someone if they did what you did to me. Some people take things like that and say "thanks" and others take something like that as an insult to their intelligence. I am not assuming that is the case, but in the future you might learn from this and come at the situation a little easier and low key. So as not to offend anyone. Especially if it is a situation like this one, where they have been attacked recently and are worried about Jehovah's Witnesses messing with them. I hope you do not see this as an insult, I am only trying to show that some people do not react in a way that makes sense to us. To me that is what communication teaches us, that everyone sees things based on their life and history and not ours.

this is from someone who has never suffered from abuse, who is trying to understand the needs of those who have.. how can those who have not been abused help those of us here who have, and what can we do that would be really useful to those persons?.

From what I have seen and read, I have noticed that the lambs are dealing with a great deal of assumption. In that people are speaking on their behalf and not asking enough questions of them personally to do so. What I am concerned with, is when will the cause take the turn of making people look silly and not serious. After all, the matter being addressed is of utmost importance, but some of the issues being addressed in letters from silentlambs and others are just plain silly in nature. I printed out a recent one and read it, and to be honest I can not find merit in the disfellowshipping of the governing body as a point of curing the abuse problem. Especially since most people would see such a request as not possible. I think the pursuit to progress should be strictly in the courts and legislative. That seems to be where you would be taken most serious in your cause. The pursuit to helping, should be addressed in professional counciling.

Several races have been in slavery in human history. If we allow the blacks to sue and win, then what about the Jews suing the Egyptians and so on. Seems like history should at least allow some things to heal without a check made out to the victims families.

Well, there are religions seeing less growth then the Jehovah's Witnesses. Perhaps their gate is more narrow. How do we define the proper size to fit the term narrow gate?

why, one time this fellow went to the kh that ted jaracz attends, stood right up there in the middle of the congregation, and publicly accused tj of being a hypocrite!.

So, if we insult and reveal to much about the society, we get a free trip to NYC? I would see a Broadway play, party until the next morning and then forget to show up. Then go home, send a thank you letter and more truths and hope for another trip. Only this time it might be to another location like London or Paris.
