Someone call the police

it was a day like any other day in the police force.

we would get calls for help, and spend time talking to the victims and eternity writing reports out about what happened.

to no ones surprise the day began with a call from a woman that claimed to be the victim of a serial killer.

we had been at sea for months, without even the occasional glimpse of life beyond the waves.

the men and woman, they seemed weak and down trodden by the time on this great body of water.

i feared that with the coming days would come death, and perhaps illness that would further weaken our journey to a new world.

the man began to speak, "for years brother we have hoped for the new system and wanted the day to come when we would be free of death and living in paradise.

i thought to myself, "two hundred years, two hundred years, take me to the future two hundred years.

when i woke, the air was filled with noise and people were walking all around me.

i have seen my fair share of adult movies and i must say, people will do a lot on camera for money.

i have seen woman degrade themselves to levels that i can not believe.

nothing is left private and no dignity remains.

This all sounds so familiar

the news was talking about war, the world was in turmoil, gas prices were high, the economy was weak and witnesses were saying this is the end.

it sounds like today, doesn't it?

well it isn't, it is actually what was happening in 1990 when the last gulf war happened.

"narrow and cramped is the road leading to life", right?

well with that quote, the witnesses have always justified the fact that they are still god's chosen people, even though they are not that large compared to other worldwide religions.

yet i was wondering something, if smaller is a sign of god's people, then how small is small enough.

recently i woke in the early morning hours to a knock on the door and my first thought was, "jehovah's witnesses going door-to-door.

" so i got myself together and went to the door and sure enough there were two people standing there with bibles in hand.

they had a flier and they started to speak, "the end is coming, god is passing judgment upon man soon.

Question; Are Astronauts Heros?

since the columbia burned up, i have heard many references in the news to those astronauts being heroes.

what i wonder though, what makes a person a hero?

is every astronauts a hero, or do they need to die to be a hero?

your reading a post online this evening, about someone's encounter with what they think is a ghost.

you see some photos and cover the account word for word, when suddenly you have a shadow cast from behind you, over the monitor.

something seems to have moved in the room and yet you are the only one in the house.

with the recent tragedy, i have been reminded of something that i think is getting out of control.

that is the news overkill of subjects.

i do not want to sound heartless, but i did not sit and watch the news for hours when i heard the columbia burned up.
