Everytime I look in the mirror I see a peice of all those that are gone from my world. "I see dead people." Plus, I do not think death is an end. I did not even believe that when I was a Witness. I just faked it to make it.

Were You Ashamed To Be Identified As A JW?
by minimus in2 tim.2:15 says," do your utmost to present yourself approved to god, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of,handling the word of the truth aright.
" when you were at work, school or play did you find yourself ashamed to tell anyone that you were a witness?
what if they found out anyway?

The only time I remotely felt ashamed. Was when I was in High School and went to a girls house that I thought was the prettiest girl in High School. You know the one you dreamed about all the time, but never got to talk too. Well she was nice, and I went along with my presentation. Then the next day in school she actually said hello and did not just walk by and ignore me anymore. It did not last long, and I never made a return visit. It was just something I remembered and thought I would share. I think most people have some sort of religious "something" they would not feel comfortable talking or sharing with people outside of their faith.

TH
I have never spoken to him directly. I have only read his site and what is mentioned online at Ex-Jw boards. It is unfortunate that he would run the organization in such a way. It causes a little bit of everything to be started, but a whole lot of nothing to be finished.

More woman than men
by JH inwhy is it that there are more woman than men in the organization?
in my congregation there was much more woman than men.
it was about 60-65% woman.

A lot of it has to do with the large number of older woman that attend the congregation. When I left the JW's and tried my hand at other Christian churches. It did not take long to see that, like the Witnesses, most Christian religions have a higher percentage of woman over men. In most cases that I saw, these were elderly woman. Not to say that the amount of younger woman was not also a little off, but the greater amount was in the elderly.

A Question for All JWs to Ponder
by radar inif the governing body are spirit directed, why do they need to vote on issues pertaining to faith?.
if 12 governing body members vote, and say 5 vote in favour of one understanding but 7 vote in favour of the opposite.. does this mean that the 5 who were not of the majorityv, did not have jehovah's spirit on the matter?.
is the majority rule, the right one, the spirit directed one?.

Our government thinks they are "One nation under God" and yet we respect the vote of man to direct our actions. Not that I am supporting the Witnesses methods, but your question kind of brought that to mind. Just look at your American money, it says "In God we trust."

IM SO ANNOYED!!
by josephus ini just saw the elder who made me try to kill myself.
he put me on prozac, and helped me leave the jws because of his evil nasty ways.. he was being carried from his house in an ambulence, and despite my best efforts, i felt bad for him!!!.
i really wanted to laugh but found myself stopping to see if he was ok. .

No, your just the better more human man. That is something you should never be shamed of. Do not imitate the Witnesses in their hate, show the opposite of them in your love for people and life.

Colored Shirts?
by Marcos inwhat is the wt policy on shirts for the brothers?
are they supposed to be only white shirts?
my son, no a sort of waning mormon said that he thought it was funny that the witnesses here copy the mormons (white shirts only).

Only time I had a problem with shirt color, was when I was wearing black shirts to much and just kind of never wore anything else. Funny, now that I am no longer a JW, I wear a lot of black again.

When I was a JW, I was very proud to be one and did my best to be a good person. I still do that, only now I do it to make the human race look better and not just one organization.
