i have.. i hadn't even realised it until i had a conversation with my brother last summer.
our dad was a proffesional man who could command a good income whilst he worked.
trouble is, that he would listen to all the 1975 "end of the system" nonesense and then become motivated to serve where the need was great.
Hello Mulan,
I would be interested how they could get the money back from the WTS. I may be in a similar situation some day. What recourse did they have if she had a will and named the WTS as the beneficiary?
southfield, mibored with scaring elderly misers, the ghost of christmas future is spending the holiday season taunting modern children with visions of christmas 2016's hottest toy: the sony playstation 5, a 2,048-bit console featuring a 45-ghz trinary processor, cinereal graphics booster with 2-gig biotexturing, and an rsp connector for 360-degree online-immersion play.above: the ghost of christmas future offers a pair of phoenix 10-year-olds a tantalizing glimpse of the ps5.. "you know how kids area year is an eternity to them," the wraithlike specter said monday during a visit to the southfield home of 13-year-old josh kuehn.
"so just imagine showing them something they'll have to wait 14 years for.
teasing them with a glimpse of the ps5 is the ultimate torture.
No fooling around now.
the following is from the "berean bible teachers' manual (1908)".. how many proofs are still taught by jw?
which is your favorite one?.
twenty time proofs.
OK!!!!! Now I am totally confused.
if a person is disfellowshipped, can they talk to anyone in the congregation?
and if not, what scripture says they (the disfellowshipped person) can not.
and, has anyone ever heard that an elder or someone else suggest a disfellowshipped person wear a letter "d" (the scarlett letter) when they go to public functions like an assembly?

Elsewhere
The elders hate it. I will walk up to people at the KH and start making small-talk... all the while the elders are looking on in horror.
Elsewhere do you still actually go to the hall?
whose organization?
if a religious organization disfellowships its members for criticizing or exposing teachings for what they are, whose organization is this indicative of according to the watch tower bible and tract society?
10 points--whatever thats worth--to the participant that can prove their answer.
"It is not a form of religious persecution to say and to show that another religion is false, for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion." (Watchtower 11/15/63, p 688)

Identifying the Right Kind of Messenger
"I am . . . the One making the word of his servant come true, and the One that carries out completely the counsel of his own messengers."-ISAIAH 44:25, 26.
JEHOVAH GOD is the Grand Identifier of his true messengers. He identifies them by making the messages he delivers through them come true. Jehovah is also the Great Exposer of false messengers. How does he expose them? He frustrates their signs and predictions. In this way he shows that they are self-appointed prognosticators, whose messages really spring from their own false reasoning-yes, their foolish, fleshly thinking!
2 Both Isaiah and Ezekiel claimed to be messengers of Jehovah God. Were they? Let us see. Isaiah prophesied in Jerusalem from about 778 B.C.E. to sometime after 732 B.C.E. Ezekiel was exiled to Babylon in 617 B.C.E. He prophesied to his Jewish brothers there. Both prophets boldly announced that Jerusalem would be destroyed. Other prophets said that God would not let this happen. Who proved to be the right kind of messengers?
*** Rbi8 1 John 4:1 ***
4 Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.*** Rbi8 1 John 4:6 ***
background: my unbaptized daughter married an unbaptized young man when they were both 18 years old.
it didn't work out and 2 years later they divorced.. now it's 6 years later, (after the divorce), and my daughter never got baptized.
her ex-husband did and is engaged to another dub.
A similar situation happened to someone I know. the elders wanted a former jw to say that her exhusband was free to remarry. She refused for some time. The elders forbade the exhusband jw to date a jw sister till he was free to remarry. This went on for a couple of years before the elders gave the go ahead for them to remarry. It was so funny though because the jw sister who wanted to marry the exhusband jw said "Isnt it wonderful how Jehovah teaches us patience and to wait on him".
Give me a break!
I was told the elders even staked out the exjw womans house and had seen a man coming out the house in the morning. Apparently this wasn't good enough though because the woman had her kids in the house too and so there was a shaperone of sorts and they didn't know for positive there was anything going on. The exjw woman stuck to her guns and wouldnt say he was free. I dont know why in the end they were given the green light to marry but it took like 2 to 3 years.
the february 8, 2003 awake has an article entitled:"is there an unforgivable sin".notice the good news for apostates or those who once associated.
"some people who were once faithful christians have purposely drawn away from god, perhaps because of bitterness, pride, or greed, and are now apostate fighters against god's spirit.
they willfully oppose what the spirit is clearly accomplishing.
Dont you know anyone who draws away from Jehovahs witnesses draws away from God?
