many here will know that greg stafford is an independent jw apologist.

he has defended watchtower doctrine, written a number of books and publicly debated rob bowman (also soon to publicly debate james white).

this has confused a lot of people as jws are discouraged from public debate.

I preached the 'truth' to an active JW, her jaw is still on the ground!

well, the best thing about being a fader is that you can still talk to dubs you meet.

they think they can us the contact to upbuild you and you use it to plant the seeds of 'truth' which is what i did in this situation.. last week when i was at the markets i saw a sister shopping and although i normally avoid dubs, i didn't this time.

i said hello and she was very happy to speak to me.

I told her everything that had happened to my child with the sexual abuse and me with the JC and my DF'ing.

I am confused, first you say above you were DF'ed and at the end you say you probably will be DF'ed.

I ended the conversation by saying that I didn't care if they df'ed me now because I don't recognise their authority, besides it was more important to me to protect children than the organization!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I expected they would eventually df me because I am talking !

They dont send wt's in the mail anymore. I wonder why he would put a personal sticker on his own wt? At least he does not seem to be hiding the fact he is a jw.

Ros, thank you very much for taking the time to tell me why you believe the way you do. While I would hope that what you bring out is true. If you want to believe what I think the bible says, one would be more inclined to believe what Farkel replied to you. I am at a point in my search for answers that I am finding more and more difficulty in putting a whole lot of stock in what the bible says about being inspired and beneficial for teaching and setting things straight etc. It sometimes seems to be a muddled up mess of somewhat contradictory teachings poorly written.

Just my admittedly somewhat uninformed thoughts. I may think differently next month if new "light" comes forth.

Thank you very much Ros for your comments. I am going to have to think on what you said for a while to see if that is really what the bible teaches.

As an afterthought though, didn't the old testament God Jehovah have the Israelite's destroy all kinds of what he considered pagan people who worshipped pagan Gods with no consideration many times for women, infants, and children, and even livestock?
