We'll I can clearly see that I am the odd one out here. Since I went cold turkey I haven't heard nothing from anyone in the congregation. No elders visits, no nothing. Sorry I do digress it may be a bit of a lie. I did have a pioneer phone me up for a 5 minute talk on how I was. I said I was fine and I'm guessing her motive may been from the perspective of been able to report time rather than out of concern.
In some ways I am relieved that it has gone this way, as it has made my exit a lot smoother. But on the other hand I am quite hurt to think of all those decades of my life that I invested into that religion (and up until recently I faithfully reported F/S), and not even one person could drop by and say "how's things". I guess it goes to show how much a part I was of a loving organisation. Huff.

We'll put it this way from a person who has only just stated Exiting. I had never heard of the the 1925 thing although I had heard it said from the platform that the society never said the end of the world was in 1975. The UN debarcle I had never heard of either. In fact 99.9% of the things mentioned here I was totally unaware of. It wasn't until I actively started searching apostate sites that I found this all out plus a whole lot more. Most of the R&F have got absolutely no idea of anything that is going on. Unfortunately I was one of them. It would have to be a pretty major scandal, and it would have to be printed black and white on the front page of the watchtower before it would be accepted.

Steve I have to say that I am on your side on this one. There is absolutely no proof at all that this was the result of the witnesses, and I think for the frenzied crowd to be holding this up as an example of hypocrisy, makes them no better than the watchtower themselves. You can clearly see that the flag is on the outside of the window, so who ever done this had no internal access. It seems odd that on the exact same day that the BOE decide to put the national flag on the window, that some one who is an ex-JW just happens to walk by with a camera. Just cause their is a flag on the outside of the window proves nothing. Anybody could of walked off the street done it. I can think of a good example of this. There was a Jewish synoguge here that was spray painted with the nazi swaztika. Did this mean that this Jewish congregation had joined the Arian race, and had now embraced the concepts of nazi-isim??? NOT AT ALL!!! What it did mean however that some vindictive skinhead had decided to trespass the property and spray a slogan on the building. See the similarities. Sorry I aint buying that photograph.

Ok I have been looking at the photo again. I see what has happened. You will see that the flag is hanging on the outside of the window and behind the security grill. So what some vindictive apostate has done has waited until no one is around, and then put a flag between the window and the bars. Taken the photo and then left. That's my take on it. If it was done by some one in the congregation then the flag would be behind the window, which it is not. For all the stupid things that the Borg has done (and hey there has been many) this would just be taking it to a new level. Vindictive apostate I say. Shame on you.

Had this foreign brother come and board at my house. Because he had family all over the world, he used to have a herendous telephone bill - these were the days before Skype. He suddenly decided to move out and left me his cell phone number to contact him, when the phone and utilities bills come in. Never heard from him again after that. The punk left me with about $600 owing - and this is going back 10-15 years ago. Oh and then I latter found out he was also going out and getting blind drunk as we'll.
