Yes i agree that Paul needs to do something into translating JW Facts into Spanish. Of that I am certain. I think another language that needs to be looked into is Chinese (mandarin) as Wt is now focusing it sights on that. I'm gunna send paul an email.

Where the need is greater: TTATT in Spanish
by Londo111 init seems most of the us growth is in spanish-speaking territory, and of course, there is growth in the nations where spanish is the predominant language.
most sites oriented around ttatt, are english-speaking.
there seems then to be a great need for translators...for instance, imagine if there was a spanish version of www.jwfacts.com.. unfortunately, i dont speak this language.

New here
by winnie12 inhey i'm new here, i've been reading up so much here and on other sites about tatt and it has really settled a nagging feeling of doubt within me.
truly i have been lied to and have been trapped in this cult.
i've been suffering with depression, anxiety, attempted suicide, hospitalization, anti depressants, loneliness all this while being in supposedly surrounded by "the happiest people" on earth.

Trust me you are not alone. When I faded I only had 2 people who could pick up the phone and say hi. Of those 2. 1 was a pioneer who I suspect was trying to count me as a return visit. The other one accidentally dialed me by mistake. I had another pioneer knock on my door to count time, b4 she went to a bible study. Trust me this loving organization ain't loving at all.

Settling out of court for child abuse
by joe134cd ini got thinking today about how the wts had been settling out of court with confidentiality agreements.
could the reason for this not only be of benefit to the wt but also to the victim.
in this country it is quite common for the events of a sex abuse case to be suppressed or for the accused to be given name suppression, because to do so would also identify the victim.

I got thinking today about how the WTS had been settling out of court with confidentiality agreements. Could the reason for this not only be of benefit to the Wt but also to the victim. In this country it is quite common for the events of a sex abuse case to be suppressed or for the accused to be given name suppression, because to do so would also identify the victim. Perhaps the Wt legal team realised this, and explained to the victim that by not having a suppression clause could also be bad in identifying the victim and re-victimising him. The case would be open to everyone, and I could understand the victim not wanting to be dragged through this. For the watchtower to have offered it the victim must of willingly accepted it. BTW I'm not trying to stick up for Wt shoddy practices or trying to belittle the victim. I'm not a lawyer either. Just my thoughts today.

I think if Wt is behind JW defence then they have made some serious errors of judgment. There will be one way to know for sure and that is if in a week or two the site is still there. If it is them (of which I must admit there is a big question mark over this) I think that this is the height of hypocrisy in how it's not OK for the R&F to go outside the grounds of JW.org, and yet it is perfectly acceptable for them to do it. Wasn't jw.org all that was needed. If this site can been linked to them, then the shit is really going to hit the fan. The fact that the guy on jw defence chose not to identify himself, and disguise his voice tells me that he knew he was breaking WT law. Some how it would surprise me if it was them.

"Shepherd the flock of God"
by Laika inlooking after you dirty sheep can be a challenge for any of the 'gifts in men' among us.
thank jah that the faithful & discreet slave has provided an elder's manual for assistance, i mean, it's not as if the bible is any use in such matters.
here are some of my favourite pearls of wisdom to help us truly appreciate the blessings of the slave class:.

Laika = Well I certainly never heard of or witnessed a person been DFed for what you have described. It would be foolish to assume that it didnt go on. Just curious but has anybody ever heard of a DFing for gluttony. Curious now.

JWs in Florida and California. Is there really a difference?
by BU2B ini have heard over the years from many different people about how jws in those states are unlike elsewhere.
the parties they have, the way they dress and the permissive attitude.
i just heard from a sister that is from florida, that if you are not "spiritually strong" you will "fall out of the truth" down there.

Yes I have heard that about Florida and Cali, and I don't even live in the Americas.

The differences and similarities between the RCC and WT in the current sex abuse scandels
by joe134cd injust curious, but what do you think the things that are the same and different with the sex abuse claims facing the wt & rcc.
heres what i think.
the differences is the perpetrators of the abuse with the rcc were paid employers, where as with the wt it was more the notifying, and suppression of information, amongst the members.

How much money do you think WT actually makes a year ?
by cookiemaster ini know that just recently they've made billions by cashing in their real estate from brooklyn.
i also saw somewhere that only the uk branch, in a year, made 16 million pounds in profit with their stock portofolio.
my cousin worked personally for a guy in italy, who was involved in the mafia , and was a jw, and apparently he donated at a single convention more than 1 million euros(probably as a way to wash his sins).

I tend to see 2 two sides of the argument here.
(1) The GB is raking it in e.g high value properties. Refurb scams. Estates been left to them. Real estate sales. Even the Tacoma car park has been sited as an example
(2) They are losing money and members. Sex abuse law suites. Down sizing and asset stripping.
I tend to sit some where in the middle. With out a doubt there are cash flow problems, that is forcing their hand. They do have significant real estate portfolios, that they can lean back on in times of crises, but what has to be remembered here is that this has been acquired with in about 150 years. There have been religious institutions that have been around for a lot less time and have acquired more wealth and better membership that Wt ever did. In this country for example there is one religious movement that I have seen grow with in the space of a couple of decades. This guy is now seriously wealthy, and the members keep giving to him. I do believe the GB seriously believe in what they are doing is Gods work, and are not totally money focused, although some of their methods for staying afloat can be controversial.
The sex abuse law suites will not wipe them out. For what they would have to pay out, would be pocket change for what they are worth. Although so far they have had a couple of dozen sex abuse law suites brought against them. I dont think it will get to the level of the Catholic Church. I say this because I think the Catholic Church sex abuse cases is different to that of the Wt, and is more complex in getting a successful case. With the Catholic Church it was more the case of moving people around where as with the watchtower it was more a case of not notifying, and suppressing information. What I think Must be of major concern to the Wt is the bad publicity that this would generate.
