Yeah I have actually wondered to what has happened. There were some other cases been made by the zaklin law firm. All of a sudden that has gone cold as well. I smell a rat, or more likely some sort of gag order that the victims have opted for. Anybody know anything?

Pedophile Elder in jail gets reinstated
by Trapped in JW land inthere was a brother in my congregation who was an elder.
he got disfellowshipped about two years ago for looking at child porn and also trying to meet up with a thirteen year old boy online.
he was also arrested soon after this.

I absolutly believe that it will only be a matter of time before a known Sex offender takes advantage of the JW system, and ends up sexually assaulting either an unsuspecting memeber of the public or a member of the congregation, and then they will be fighting another Conti like case. Should of listened!!!

I would say show them how you feel by voting with your wallet and feet, and if enough people do it. It will certainly make them think twice.

How much punishment can WT take
by joe134cd inin some ways i just have to admire wt for the amount of crap they can take and despite this can keep it from the r&f, and still keep coming up smelling of roses.
you think about all the dramas they have had and can yet still keep showing an increase - all be it in internet deprived developing countries.
but even still an over all increase is still an increase.

The people i least get along with are EX- J.Ws
by new hope and happiness ini am not talking about posters here on this board ( otherwise i wouldn't be here would i) but in general.. si i am talking those ex j.ws in my community and we just dont get on.
well ok its a bit of an exaggeration to say i don't get on with them, we just dont associate.
this botherd me at first as i thought we would have much in common, but it wasn't so, and it's just the way it is.

Actually I have sort of found the same thing. I have asked ones who live in this country if they would like to meet. I've had one tell me he doesn't meet in person and all the others havnt bothered replying. Oh well I tried. But I havnt had any body that had said anything to me that I found offensive.

They may from a legal point of view have the law on their side, and so far there has only been 1 official case which they have paid out on. But I just have to wonder the effect this is having on their credibility as a religion, and their ability at getting and retaining membership. It would certainly make me think twice about trying to convince the public on how robust and loving the policies and procedures of the organization are, while having this splashed across the front page of a newspaper. I really can't see a single major scandel bringing them down. Sex abuse didn't bring the Catholic Church down (although it hurt them), and nore will it with the JWs. But what I can see happening is a lot of little things slowly eroding their credibility, which will mean people walking away.

This would have to be of concern to them, that this type of information is been leaked at a very top level. There is certainly dissension amongst the ranks, and i believe WT will eventually hunt him down and hang him out to dry. I'm just curious but dose anyone know the methods used. I'm guessing they must do Suttle changes in the text to distinguish the general area the leak is coming from.
